TRAVEL INFO

We know that the COVID protocols can be a bit confusing, so we have put together a short guide to help you make sure you know what you need to do.

Travelling to Greece - You will need to do the following:

Step 1) Complete a Greek Passenger Locator Form (PLF)

This must be completed no later than 11:59pm (local time Greece) the day before arriving in Greece. The form is required regardless of the means of transport you use to travel to Greece (including by ferry, road, rail or air). You can access the form here: Passenger Locator Form

Step 2) Proof of one of the following for entry to Greece:

- Proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test, undertaken within the 72 hour period before arrival into Greece
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test from an authorised laboratory, undertaken within the 48 hour period before the scheduled flight
- Proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days before travel (via NHS App or you can call Call 119 for paper Copy posted to your home address)
- Proof of recovery from COVID-19 (Evidence of a positive COVID-19 PCR test result taken between 30-180 days before travel)

Travelling back to the UK - You will need to do the following:

Step 1) Book your COVID-19 PCR tests you need for your arrival

If you are fully vaccinated book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test – to be taken after arrival in England

If you are not fully vaccinated book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 tests – to be taken after arrival in England

This brings the cost of the Day 2 test for fully vaccinated people down to £43 and for those unvaccinated brings the Day 2 and Day 8 test pack down to £86.

This will get the test sent to your house so you can self-test upon return from Greece. There are a number of drop-off locations for you to return your test to here: https://www.randoxhealth.com/kit-return

It is very important that you get these tests sent to your home address before you leave for Greece. They can take up to 5 days to get delivered.

Step 2) Take a coronavirus test before you travel to England

You must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test to travel to England. You must take the test in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs.

Your test result can be provided as:
- a printed document
- an email or text message you can show on your phone - make sure your device is charged

To help with this we have a doctor coming to the wedding villa on Saturday and Sunday to conduct the lateral flow/rapid antigen test. This will cover all guests flying home on Monday 30th July and Tuesday 31st July and the tests are €25 per person. If you are flying later than the 31st and need help with this please let us know.

Step 3) Complete a UK Passenger Locator Form (PLF)

You can do this any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in England. You can access that here: https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

We will be providing as much support this as possible, and will have laptops should people want to complete the return forms etc at the wedding villa over the weekend.

There is one airport in Rhodes which is 1hr 15mins from Lachania, the small village where we will be based. We would love for you to arrive for the Friday evening celebrations but we appreciate this may mean taking a day off work for some of you. The flight is around 4 hours from the UK.

Where possible we will be providing transport to take you to/from the wedding area. So if you haven't already please send across your flight itnerary.

We are providing transport where possible for guests to help return to the airport, so if you haven't already please send your flight itinerary.

We have booked a large coach to take everyone who is flying on Monday 30th August back to the Airport. This is currently schedule to leave the wedding villa at 9AM to get everyone to the airport in time. For those that have a later flight on that day in the evening, I would definitely recommend checking out Rhodes Old Town for a few hours which is very close to the Airport. We will be scheduling a drop off there for those that want to.
