Elvina Soogun
Bridechilla

Nine years later, I'm finally ready to surrender. Life just isn't the same without my sparring partner by my side, breaking into song at whim and making fun of me mercilessly but forever keeping me on the lighter side of life.

Can't wait to be joined by all the people I love most in the world to set off into the sunset with our favourite showman and the one that makes my heart Singh.

Shakeel Soogun
"Sister" of the Bride
As my big sister, Vin’s biggest duty has been to pull my pants down and bring me back to reality when I’m too busy escaping it… luckily only metaphorically these days! When she decides to indulge my whimsical nature, you can find us humming duets of the Super Mario theme tune, talking in the weirdest Scottish accents you’ve ever heard and making up random nicknames for everything (hence “sister of the bride”). The only thing that keeps us apart is that we’re both too lazy to get out of our own beds!

At the wedding, you can expect to find me riding a sugar high on the dancefloor or starting a meme war.
Lucky Singh
Elvina and I became friends when I asked her to come swimming and (gasp) she said yes! Little did we know it would be the start of deep and meaningful conversations until the crack of dawn, countless cocktail nights and a wonderful friendship.

I’m soo lucky to be gaining such a kind, understanding and beautiful soul as my pubi! (sister-in-law)

At the wedding brace yourself for my loud laugh and Bollywood dance moves!
Kam Sagoo

Me and Elvina would awkwardly wave at each other in Year 7 - having formed an instant "omg you're asian too" connection. We didn't pluck up the courage to speak until two years later but then its been non-stop since. She's always been the one to encourage me, guide me and humble me when my head gets too big.

At the wedding, expect to see me on the dancefloor when the bhangra and afrobeats pops off. Come and say hi!

Elvina was in my form at school and when I caught wind of that quick witt, dry sense of humor and love for sarcasm we instantly bonded! Since then, our love for those things hasn't changed much, but our ability to tolerate the sentimental things in life has definitely improved. With this I can now say how lucky I am to have found someone who shares my unique way of thinking, as she has helped me in more ways than she knows.

You can expect me poorly attempting to hide away from the camera and dancefloor, but with some encouragement I'll get there!
Viali Munteanu

It was love at first sight. Sort of. Elvina sat next to me on her first day at CCgroup and laughed at my sassy, mean comments. I knew we would get along just fine. We’re just two introverts that get each other.

At the wedding, expect me to tell you how I don’t want to get too drunk and then see me be very drunk next time we speak!

Jaz Singh
Groomzilla
For those of you that know, it's been one hell of a journey getting here, but the big day is finally approaching and I can't wait to marry the love of my life!

Sync up your calendars and strap yourselves in, this is gonna be one crazy ride, and you're not gonna wanna miss it!
Jeet Patel
Best Man

Mine and Jazz’s friendship literally began in the eye of a storm!

A day off school due to a blown-out window, accidently blew in an unlikely friendship.

That one day of bonding over Juiced 2, eating Rocky's, and getting up to all sorts of mischief, led to 18 years of parties and way too much drinking, with us eventually maturing into the men that we are today.

I can’t think of just one example that captures our brotherhood, there are simply too many memories to count. I say - we let our actions at the wedding speak for themselves!

During the wedding expect me to be constantly topping up Jazz’s drinks, while on a personal mission to get hammered. With that, sprinkle in some dancing, singing, and an innate desire to mingle with each and every one of you.

I will likely be coddling my friends and family by the end of the night, to make up for passing out and missing the main events of the evening.

Sanj Sharma
Best Man

It all started with an instant connection over a lovely bit of Glen's in the park, utilising our sixth form free hours productively. Fast forward 12 years and all that's changed is our taste in alcohol becoming a little more refined.

Jaz has been an inspiration from the get-go, and one who I look to continue sharing & celebrating every milestone with.

At the wedding, you can expect me to either pull you away for some shots or be at the centre of the dancefloor with infinite energy when the bhangra goes off! #CaptainBhangra

Lucky Singh
Groom's Irish Twin

Though Jazzy’s only 11 months older than me he acts like it’s 11 years!

From picking me up from school to making me sandwiches and showing me around secondary school, Jazzy has always been there for me. He’s my Irish twin, my protector and my partner in crime!

At the wedding, brace yourself for my loud laugh and Bollywood dance moves!

Bharat Sharma

After our prom night back in 2011, I randomly woke up realising I had crashed at Jazzy's place. He was friends with my mate, Jeet, but I had never really spoken to the guy! Little did I know, that was the start of a CRAZY, fun-filled, memory-making, life-long broship! Just that day we must have polished 4 or 5 bottles and headed out to Kingston, only to make prom look like a boring night!

At the wedding, you can expect the following stages: Quiet > Booze > Loud > Booze > Dancing > Booze > Laying down somewhere

Robert Gould

A friendship brewed on the foundations of alcohol but blossomed from our competitive spirit and carefree outlook on life.

After going through high school without barely saying a word to each other we were introduced by mutual friends.

Over the following years, we developed a strong Bromance together filled with laughs, darts, and 2 am Rocky’s.

Not to toot my own horn but if Jaz wasn’t going to marry Elvina I would probably be next in line.

You can expect to see me still drinking at 5 am at the wedding, most likely topless and singing Angels by Robbie Williams.

Shakeel Soogun
Wise-cracking kid brother

After living with Jazzy these last few years, he’s become a fun, and at times a little cringey, older brother. We played games until 3am, went climbing (oh the pain over those next 3 days) and made fun of the people on Celebs Go Dating (I was watching ironically ok). I would ramble on about my musings on life, and he brought me along on his adventures and house parties. I still haven't figured out how to break it to him that he isn’t Shah Rukh Khan’s long lost son though.

At the wedding, you can probably find me making fun of the groomzilla with Lucky until he inevitably drags me into a boys ballad of Angels with the rest of the Groom’s Gang!

Nav Sahota

So it all started with a Bacardi and coke, along with pretty much all of Bawan's chips.

10+ years on, after multiple crazy adventures, which include putting Kingston on the map, keeping Goodfellas alive, and ensuring that Barcelona remains the flight we aim to catch every 30 minutes, it's time for the next edition to the ever-growing list of memories!

On the wedding, expect: Booze > Loud > Polos > 50 Cent's 21 Questions > Eat > Sleep

* Running order is subject to polos and spirit levels, please ensure the updated schedule is viewed on the day *

Rajeev Arora

I remember back in secondary school I used to see this one guy who would always be showing off his high kicks  Never thought I would ever get to know the dude just thought he was too much for me to handle... Next thing you know I'm taking sociology with him where we used to crack more jokes than do work and have been friends ever since!

There have been many nights where all the lads would go to Jaz's house where we would be having a mini party in his bedroom, drinking, singing, and dancing until the early morn, just to wake up with a beer to take the edge off our hangover.

Without a doubt - at the wedding, I will have a drink in my hand or at least be looking for the next one and try to keep the party going until the sun rises! If you get me drunk enough, you may be fortunate to see my "amazing" dancing skills.

Gurmiet Singh
Father of the Groom

I never miss a party and this one is going to be the best yet!

I’m proud of the man jazzy has become and excited to see him get married! Family means everything to me and I’m so happy it’s getting bigger.

At the wedding, you will find me pouring everyone and myself (!) a stiff whisky and treating everyone to my awesome dad moves!

Rajwinder Singh
Mother of the Groom

Everyone knows that Jazzy and I have always had a strong bond, even though he likes to act like a macho man he’s truly a kind and loving son.

I’m so glad he’s found Elvina - they really do complete each other and I’m looking forward to officially welcoming Elvina into the Kasbia Singh family!

I’m a party animal so be prepared for me to take over the dance floor - so bring your best moves!

Mala Soogun
Mother of the Bride

Vin is my friend, my manicurist and my social media manager. Every ‘quick call’ becomes a three-hour conversation. She’ll give me a hard time about it but eventually she’ll entertain my long stories and bring me back to Earth. I never want to admit it but somehow she knows me better than I know myself.

And in Jaz, Vin has found someone fun, caring, lively - well, just like her Mum! Can’t wait to cheers to their years of happiness and officially welcome Jaz into this Soog family.

At the wedding, expect me to be bossing the photographers to get the right pics, switching between laughing and crying in seconds and making long speeches. Can't wait to get to know you all!
