FAQs

Wtf does "desert chic" mean?

Who knows, but Elise thought it sounded better than "dressy casual". If you want to lean into the desert theme, think breezy fabrics and neutrals colors. Bolo are ties optional, but you can save your formal wear for Saturday night.

Will there be food at the Welcome Party?

Tacos and margs, of course!

Should I rent a car?

If you are staying in Old Town Scottsdale or Paradise Valley, you should have no problem getting a Lyft or Uber and there are plenty of shops/restaurants within walking distance to keep you entertained.

If you plan on hiking, we recommend renting a car as it can be difficult to get a ride from the trailheads.

Will there be transportation provided the day of the wedding?

Yes! We will have shuttles running from Mountain Shadows to The Sanctuary before the ceremony, starting at 3:00pm (a shuttle schedule will be provided to all guests upon arrival). Shuttles will also be available after both the receptions and after-party.

10:30pm: Post-Reception Shuttle to Mountain Shadows

11:45pm: Post-After Party Shuttle to Mountain Shadows

12:00am: Post-After Party Shuttle to Porter's Saloon in Old Town Scottsdale

You are welcome to take advantage of the shuttles even if you are not staying at Mountain Shadows! Especially after the wedding, it may be easier to get a Lyft from Mountain Shadows as it is slightly less secluded.

What time does the evening end?

The reception ends at 10pm, but the after party goes on at Sanctuary until midnight. The after after party? Join the bride & groom in Old Town Scottsdale until last call.

Shuttles to Mountain Shadows will be available from 10pm-12am!
