Our wedding will be held at Capella Sanya, an all-inclusive 5-star luxury hotel & resort that overlooks the South China Sea.  For the best experience, we would recommend that our guests stay at this resort, where we have pre-reserved upgraded Oceanfront Rooms for our wedding group.   The room/night cost will be 2,300 RMB (approx. 325 USD), service fee and tax included.

Arrival & Departure

Since almost all of our guests are flying in, we have arranged a Welcome Dinner the night before (start time 7:30PM).  It is recommended that you arrive by afternoon on Friday, February 21, 2020, so you will have plenty of time to settle into your rooms before joining us for dinner and drinks.  

For departure, you are welcomed to stay and explore other parts of Sanya after the wedding.  Otherwise, you should book your departure on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

Airport & Transportation

Capella Sanya is about 45 min. drive from the Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX).

Pick-up and drop-off shuttle services will be provided between the resort and the airport.

If this will be your first time in China, friendly reminder that you will need to obtain a China entry visa (Tourist Visa Type L) prior to your arrival.

Can I bring a date and/or my child/children?
Yes, you absolutely can! This is a family friendly wedding. Please let us know upon RSVP.

Do I need to book hotels in advance?
No, you do not need to book hotels in advance. We will have pre-reserved Oceanfront rooms for all wedding guests at Capella Sanya from February 21-23, 2020. You can settle your room fees upon check-out.

Great! What if I want to extend my stay at Capella Sanya?
No problem! Just let us know when you are planning to arrive and leave, so we can arrange that with the hotel in advance. Keep in mind, as wedding guests, you can enjoy our group rate for up to 3 days pre- and post- our wedding date :)

What is Sanya weather like in February?
February is a very comfortable season for traveling in Sanya. The highest and lowest temperatures are 28 °C (82 °F) and 18 °C (64 °F) and the RH is 81%

Is February peak season in Sanya?
Yes, both Chinese Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival fall around and on this month, so you can expect lots of festivities!

Is there a dress code?
For welcome dinner, it is dressy casual. For both Ceremony and Grand Reception, cocktail attire is highly recommended. Please see "Wedding” section for more details.

What’s for dinner?
Please come to reception hungry! There will be a cocktail hour with finger food served, followed by a 10-course meal.

Is there a registry?
Your presence and company is simply the best gift for our wedding. There will not be a registry.
