Where is the venue?
Braxted Park is a country estate in Essex located between Chelmsford and Colchester.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?
By Car
Braxted Park is easily accessible by car. It is off the A12 between Witham and Kelvedon. Take the exit for Silver End and Great Braxted. Please allow around 2 hours if you are driving from London due to unpredictable traffic.
By Train
If you are travelling from London, there are a few train options available:
The nearest train station is in Witham. A direct train can be taken from London to Witham which takes approximately 45 minutes. It is an 8 minute taxi ride from Witham station to Braxted Park Estate.
There are also trains from London to either Colchester station or Chelmsford station which are 20-minute taxi rides from the venue.
We have provided a list of local taxi companies below and would suggest pre-booking taxis if required.
We have listed some conveniently located hotels below. We would advise booking early as the options in the area are limited.

Guests of Braxted Park benefit from discounted bed and breakfast rates by booking online and using the Braxted unique code – T1813 (click on the Special Rates drop down menu near the date selection and select Corp/Promo Code before adding the code). Note, the discounted room rates also include breakfast. Discounted rates apply to bookings for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. Breakfast is from 6.30am to 10am.

When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP as soon as you can so we can make final arrangements for table settings and catering.
Is there parking available at the venue?
There is plenty of parking available at the venue. Enter the venue via the main gate on Braxted Park Road and drive down The Avenue to the main house where you will be directed to park on the right side of the venue.
Please note that cars can be left overnight at the venue at your own risk and must be picked up by 11am on Sunday 6th July 2025.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
Due to space constraints, we are regretfully unable to extend invitations to additional plus-ones that have not been named on the invitations. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.
Can I bring my children?
Due to capacity constraints, we kindly request that only children named on the invitations attend the wedding events. Thank you for your understanding. We would appreciate if you could drop us a message to let us know the ages of any children invited and if they need a highchair so we can cater for them.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We have a vegetarian menu for both main events. Please let us know if you have any additional dietary requirements through the RSVP.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones/cameras during the wedding?
We welcome photos throughout the day and please feel free to share them with us as well. That said, to avoid view obstruction, please keep photos during the ceremony to a minimum. We will have a professional photographer present during the day too who will capture the key moments.
