I met Dr. Jenelle Simpson (my girl is a DOCTOR!) during my sophomore year college. When I met her, she was my advisor of our illustrious sorority Delta Sigma Theta Inc. She then fell into the role of my big sister then right-hand man or woman shall I say. A trusted friend, mentor and support system of our little family. Jenelle is a true rock in our life.

Darrius, my partner in crime, my Best Man. We started playing football together as adolescents and the rest is history. We grew up, went to high school, and then eventually college together. I always reference Darrius as my favorite receiver. After high school we played college football together and then went on to graduate from Elizabeth City State University. With his wit and my charm, we were definitely a force to be reckoned with. If I had to create a definition of the title "Best Man", Darrius would be it.

My baby brother, my only biological brother & my best man. I practically helped raise Greg, which probably explains why I'm so hard on him. I love him more than he will ever know. I admire who he has grown to become. I'm so proud that he is currently obtaining his masters at Elizabeth City. There is no way I wouldn't have my baby brother as my best man.

Vick and I have been friends since daycare. We graduated from Pre-k together. Vick was my first friend. Vick's father baptized me early on in life. When his family moved to Virginia, it never stopped us from communicating with each other. We then linked back up as suitemates in college. My dawg, my brother. We both went on to receive scholarships to Old Dominion University. Even though our college careers didn't align with one another our friendship always remained the same. Where will the wedding be held?

The wedding and reception will be held at the Hilton Norfolk The Main in Norfolk, VA. The address is 100 E Main Street Norfolk, Virginia 23510. Their phone number is (757) 763-6200.

What time does the wedding begin?

The Williams' wedding will begin promptly at 6pm. Seating will begin at 5:15pm. Guest arriving after the ceremony begins will not be permitted entrance to avoid disruption.

When should I RSVP?
All RSVP’s must be confirmed by July 22, 2022 through this website. Please note, no RSVP’s will be accepted after the deadline. if you have not responded by July 22nd, your RSVP will be noted as declined.

How are you all handling COVID?
As safely and thoughtfully as possible. Although we are elated to celebrate this special moment with loved ones, the safety of our guest is our top priority. With that being said, please stay home if you aren’t feeling well.

May I bring a plus 1?
We wish everyone could celebrate with us, unfortunately we are at capacity due to reserved seating. Please do not bring anyone extra if you were not addressed a plus one. Please respect our wishes and do not ask to bring a plus one. When you RSVP, if you have been given a plus one, their name will appear with yours as a group.

Your plus one is not transferrable in the event that your guest can not attend. This event is for our closest friends and family only.

Are children welcomed?
We love your little ones, but the ceremony & reception are STRICTLY adults only with the exception of those in the wedding party. We hope you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the celebration with us.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, there is. The dress code is ALL BLACK formal attire. Men in black suits or tuxedos. Ladies in black floor length gowns (no trains please) or dressy pant suit. Absolutely no jeans or casual wear. Click on the link for inspiration photos.

Can we take pictures during the ceremony and reception?
Our ceremony will be an unplugged ceremony. We ask that you respect our wishes and kindly put away all phones, cameras and electronic devices during the ceremony in order to be fully present in the moment. We’ve hired a team of professional photographers and videographers to capture special moments. We will be sure to share all of the pictures and videos once they are available.

During the reception, we encourage you to have fun and take as many pictures, Snapchat stories and IG videos as you want!

Is there a hashtag?

For a more casual experience, the roof garden and lounge on the fifth-floor will offer an exclusive bar and is designed to bring the inside out and the outside in. Large garage doors on both sides of the space open to terraced patios with trees and lighting to invoke a backyard garden vibe. This space includes an oversized fire pit that doubles as a stage for live performances and spectacular views of the Elizabeth River. Other amenities include a large lawn chess set and billiard room. and indoor/outdoor spaces for parties and events.

On the ground level will be a hip, urban space featuring the region's finest fresh seafood and an impressive array of craft beers. The restaurant will feature old-world detailing and materials. It flows from lounge to bar to a dining area for a variety of experiences. The bar area will be built with a stone mosaic floor and pewter bar top with both a raw and sushi bar. The kitchen and fish-cutting room will serve as a backdrop to showcase a fresh seafood display complete with lobster tanks. Overlooking the entry and bar is a 2000-bottle wine display and glassed-in private dining room. Black distressed millwork and large globe lighting throughout give a masculine yet comfortable feel to the dining room, with areas of exposed brick hinting at the integration of the historic Decker building into the structure. Two additional private dining rooms are available in the rear of the restaurant.

Take the escalator up to the second floor for a lounge, wine and piano bar, VARIA, serving upscale trattoria-inspired Italian fare. The initial space is a wine lounge with more than 100 bottles of wine and 50 by the glass and is anchored with a piano bar. The dining room includes an open kitchen, exposed pizza station and intricate detailing and finishes. The center of the dining room includes a seating area adorned with a reclaimed chandelier from the Historic Cavalier Hotel ballroom. The dining area culminates in a large millwork library featuring hidden doors in the bookshelves leading into an ultra-private room.
