How we met! And fell in love..

6 years ago was the start of the greatest adventure I have ever experienced. I met her on a cold winter day in Philadelphia. We didn’t go to the same university, but we had mutual friends in the city, so when we all decided to go to a South Asian event, the die of fate was finally cast. The venue was on a boat that was converted into a restaurant, but little did I know that it was also the vessel that would carry us on this grand adventure together. Over the next year we went to various restaurants and venues all over the city, wining and dining as we learned more and more about each other… everything from our favorite foods to our goals and ambitions. We capitalized on every opportunity to talk and meet up, even though we didn’t exactly live close to each other. That distance grew even further when I moved across the country to California in 2014, but that wasn’t nearly far enough to extinguish the flames of love that we’ve been kindling. We FaceTimed every night and flew back and forth whenever we could. It wasn’t easy, but it was a simple price to pay for the outcome we both received. Now we are both back in Philadelphia again, and excited to partake on the next step of this lifelong journey; Matrimony. If you’re reading this then you should know you’ve played an important role in our lives and getting us to this point. And we would be honored if you could celebrate with us on our big day! Our boat left the dock six years ago, but we have a myriad of oceans and seas to cross before we finally rest, and I can think of no one else I’d rather take this journey with than my beloved.

Our Favorite Place in the World

Dearest Komal,

Do you remember the summer we spent in Italy? This was a magical time! From the moment we landed in Rome, ever day was a new experience. First with the Colosseum, which certainly lived up to its Colossal reputation. Then with the culture and exquisite art we experienced in Florence. Later we hiked the Cinque Terre trail and caught incredibly breathtaking views and had the greatest pesto pasta in the world! The perfect reward for such an exhausting hike! We gave our feet a rest when we drove through the scenic Tuscany area and visited Chianti Classico wineries. Then we took in relaxing vibes in Positano and Ravello where every day was filled with Wine and incredible cuisine. Who would have thought that we would have such an incredible caprese salad on top of a mountain? And of course an Italy trip is not complete without an Authentic Neapolitan Pizza. I’ll always cherish these memories and it pains me to see Italy go through its current crisis... However I believe it will recover and I can’t wait to go back with you!

With Love,

Danny

The People who Matter!

Dearest Komal,
Needless to say that during this quarantine period I miss you more than anyone! But now is a good time to think about the people who matter and have been with us throughout our journey. We have a vast network of friends and family; of teachers and mentors; of confidants and supporters… all of whom hold a special place in my heart. I hope they all staying safe and healthy, and although we will not be able to celebrate together as planned, they are and will continue to be major players in our lives.
With Love,
Danny
