Danielle & Wessel

When I first met Wessel, I thought he was the most handsome man I had ever seen - I still do :) 

I met him on my first day working at Berman Brothers, he is also in property, a quantity surveyor, and since then we started off as friends, every time he came into the office I would get so nervous! 

We EVENTUALLY (haha) progressed from friends to dating to being engaged and just growing together as a couple from strength to strength.

I now have the blessing of building a life with this incredible man who is thoughtful, romantic, loyal, intelligent and protective.

He is my best friend, my confidant, my rock, my number one supporter and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with him, my perfect partner and soulmate :)

When i first met Dani….

I remember the first time I met Dani, in a boardroom at my clients office.I remember glancing over at her a few times during the course of the meeting, I was intrigued by her and thinking that I want to get to know her better.

It started off with us “bumping” into each other a few times at gym, meetings and my offices block, where Dani also happened to work. After a few awkward initial encounters we became friends and then soon after started dating. I was blown away by her ambition, caring nature and amazing positive energy.

Our journey has been nothing short of amazing, with its ups and downs, from becoming a stranger in a boardroom to becoming my best friend, business partner, fiancé and my soon to be wife!

I could not have asked for someone better to spend the rest of my life with.

I remember being so excited for our first date... It was so much fun!

Wessel came to pick me up and I had no idea where we were going or what was in store for me that day.

Of all places, we ended up in the Franschhoek winelands. We had lunch and went for more wine tasting afterwards... Only to end up at Allee Bleue, another wine farm where we preceded to pretend that we were British (don't ask me why, but it must have been the wine).

We spent the entire afternoon in hysterics and just had the absolute best time. It was the perfect first date. I knew then and there that I had a really great guy in front of me and I was so excited to see where and when our next date would be and the adventures that it would have in store for us both.

Wow, where to even begin... 

Wes had planned a birthday weekend for me at La Residence (in Franshoek, which is our favourite place). We had never been but he told me it was going to be very fun and special and that I should dress up for the weekend. 

On Saturday morning we started with a stunning breakfast and then Wes said he wanted to check if there was a study for him to check his mail as he didn't think the wifi in the room was strong enough (I didn't mind- I was already on my way to tan by the pool) (in hind site I should have thought something was off with this as wifi is available throughout the property) (he went to check with the managers that everything was set up for that evening).

He then came back and surprised me with a high tea for lunch (I have never seen so much cake in my life) we sat and drank bubbles and had tea and cake and spent the afternoon laughing and tanning by the pool. 

That evening was meant to be my birthday dinner, we got ready and walked downstairs and I saw this beautiful set- up down by the pond, surrounded by candles and this beautiful table and chairs, we walked towards it and as we got to the table Wes dropped to one knee, looked up at me and got the ring out and asked me to marry him! I was in so much shock I can't even remember exactly what he said but I started shouting YES!!! 

I realised that a photographer had been hiding in the bushes to capture the whole moment, we then had canapés and more bubbles and watched the sunset only to have it followed by a candlelit dinner with a personalised menu for me and Wes with all of my favourite foods! Followed again by a romantic turndown service with rose petals all over our room!

It was a dream proposal by my dream man and just a perfect weekend with my now fiancé!  :) xx
