Most people aren't aware of the fact that Tyler and I went to the same middle and high school in central Florida. He was friends with my older brother, Matt, way back in the day. Well, we missed each other in high school and did not meet until we were both home from college one weekend in October of 2012. Our mutual friend was having a Halloween party that we both ended up going to. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I hate the "Hey! aren't you Matt Bowen's little sister?" line.... well leave it to Tyler to do just that. He comes up to me, spits the line out, and actually gets away with it. From then on, we stayed in touch which in different cities for college, decide to give it a shot, and here we are now - planning a wedding!

Anyone who knows me (Danielle), knows that I do not do well with surprises. I do not like them, I do not like knowing one is coming, I will find it and ruin it. So with the proposal, Tyler had to make sure I had no idea he was even looking at rings or planning anything. We decided in August to take a trip to Savannah, Georgia because we wanted a little getaway that wasn't too far! leading up to the trip, my best friend & maid of honor, Chelsey, asked me to get my nails done with her & was weirdly persistent for me to get neutral/cream colored nails instead of the crazy fall color nails I wanted - which I didn't think anything of at the time. Fast forward to day one in Savannah; Tyler willingly says we can get pizza for lunch (not normal) and then is very insistent that we go to Forsyth Park before sundown. I say we can go the next day, but that was not an ideal situation apparently. We finally make our way over to the park, we are walking around and it is beautiful! Tyler starts taking pictures of me walking around (little do I know, he is taking pictures of the ring behind me!! Seen to the left) and I start to notice he is playing with his pocket a lot. I try to ignore it for the most part, but when we sit down on a bench in front of the fountain, I reach for his coat pocket, grab a box, and say "what is that?" ..... You can imagine his face at this point! He smiles and says, "well, I guess it's happening now". I start to freak out a little from surprise and he asks if I want to marry him, after a few "are you serious?"'s, I say yes!
