The closest airport to our wedding venue is Varna airport which is 50 minute drive to the venue. This is our seaside capital. 

The second closest airport to our wedding venue is Bourgas airport which is 2.5 hours drive to the venue. This is also by the sea. 

You can also book a flight to Sofia Airport, this is the capital of Bulgaria which is inland. You have two options from there - drive to the venue with a rental car or take a second flight from Sofia airport to Varna airport and then drive up again to the venue. Please bear in mind that if you opt to drive from Sofia to the venue it is a 6 to 7 hour drive. Therefore we recommend you to get on a connecting flight to Varna instead.

Last there are a number of Direct flights from London Luton/Gatwick to Varna in both July & August . 
As the wedding day is planned on August 6th, 2022 we recommend to arrive in Bulgaria at least on August 4th or August 5th, so you can have some rest and enjoy what Varna or the wedding resort has to offer.

Flying from Glasgow (option 1) - There are connecting flights to Varna, Sofia & Burgas. You can connect via London or Europe. 
Please note closer to summer there are also direct charter flights to Burgas, however, they won't be live for now. 

Flying from Aberdeen (option 2) - There are connecting flights to Varna, Sofia & Burgas. Again you can connect via London or Europe.

Flying from Edinburgh (option 3) - There are direct flights to Burgas & Sofia. However if you want to fly to Varna you have to connect via London. 

Flying from London (option 4) - Direct flights to Varna from London Luton and Gatwick

Close to the wedding venue - North coast 

Kaliakra Archaeological Reserve
Cape Kaliakra and the architectural reserve on its territory are located 36 km southeast of Balchik. It is an oblong, narrowing rocky peninsula that is just out approximately 2 km into the sea. The rich history, the well-preserved landscape, and the beautiful panoramic views make Cape Kaliakra one of the most attractive tourist spots on the Black Sea Coast.

Along the Black Sea Coast
The Bulgarian Black Sea coast has many wonderful places to relax, enjoy good food and soak up the sun. Here are a few places favourite of the bride and groom.

Albena - North coast -  luxurious resort with a remarkable 5 km long beach. This is ideal for family as well as group holidays. It's a personal favourite to us.

Golden Sands and Saints Constantine & Helena - North coast
Golden Sands and Saints Constantine and Helena are two beach towns located a short 40 min drive outside Varna. Both resort towns offer numerous hotels along the beach and are within 45 min drive from the wedding venue.

Sozopol - South coast - convenient if you land in Bourgas Airport 
A little further from the venue is the charming town of Sozopol. Sozopol is approximately 3.5 hour drive south from the venue. The town is a favorite to many during the summer. In addition to fantastic restaurants and hotels, Sozopol is an ancient seaside town that offers a glimpse of ancient Bulgarian architecture and to Bulgarian Orthodox Churches.

Nessebar - South coast - convenient if you land in Bourgas Airport
Similar to Sozopol, Nessebar is a charming coastal town 1.5 hour drive from Sozopol and approximately 2.5 hour drive from the venue.
The ancient city of Nessebar is UNESCO World Heritage site and it offers many sites to ancient ruins and architecture.

Weather - temperature fluctuates around 30 degrees

Getting from Varna Airport to the venue -
We are happy to assist with the transfer from the airport to the venue, please just let us know and we can accommodate pick up if the above options are not suitable for you.

Usually during the high summer season there is a minimum stay of 4 nights, however if booked through us you can stay 1, 2 or 3 nights if you wish. Therefore only book through booking.com/the hotel website if you are happy to stay for 4 nights or longer.
Availability is limited as this is a popular resort and rooms are booked up fast, so we would appreciate if you let us know asap if you'd like to book through us.
