A mia sorella Isabella, la mia prima amica, che da sempre crede in me, mi protegge e mi tiene per mano. E alle mie sorelle “di cuore”, Pauline e Giovanna, per avermi voluto bene incondizionatamente, come una famiglia. Vi ringrazio con tutto l’amore che ho. Mi sento onorata di avervi accanto nel giorno del nostro matrimonio e ogni giorno.

The family I chose and who chose me. They are my examples of how to live a good, meaningful life, full of love and happiness. I would not be where I am today without their love, patience and guidance. I would do anything for them and them for me - apart from Richard who is still emotionally scarred as you can see from putting suncream on my back ;o).

La famiglia che ho scelto e che ha scelto me. Sono il mio esempio di come vivere una vita bella, ricca di significato, amore e felicita'. Non sarei dove sono oggi senza il loro affetto, la loro pazienza e la loro guida. Farei qualsiasi cosa per loro, e loro per me - tranne Richard che e' ancora emotivamente segnato, come potete vedere nella foto in cui mette la crema solare sulla mia schiena :).

Per avermi, con il vostro esempio, fatto credere nell’amore vero, nell’amore per sempre. Grazie, con tutto il mio cuore. Con tutto quello che sono e che diventerò. Questo giorno lo dedico a Daniel e a noi.

Mum Lesley and Dad Hector

In more ways than one I would not be me (or here!!!) without my parents. They are my strong roots and my deep foundations. Hector and Lesley (AKA Mr. Green Tea Ecctore and Lesbi to Laura's parents) gave me a strong sense of the importance of family and an ability to love deeply and to cherish the simple things in life. Although our family come from a humble background, the gift they gave me in appreciating the simple things in life, the realisation that time well spent with those that you love and care for and the ability to create beautiful and meaningful memories together make us very rich indeed. Mum and Dad, thank you for all that you have given me and for equipping me with the tools to be the man I am today, a person that Laura sees and loves.

Per piu' di un motivo, non sarei la persona che sono (o qui!!!) senza i miei genitori. Loro sono le mie forti radici e le mie profonde fondazioni. Hector e Lesley (AKA Sig. Te' verde Ecctore e Lesbi, cosi' chiamati dai genitori di Laura) mi hanno dato un forte senso dell'importanza della famiglia e la capacita' di amare profondamente ed apprezzare le cose semplici nella vita. Provengo da una famiglia umile, che mi ha insegnato che il dono di apprezzare le cose semplici, la realizzazione che il tempo speso bene con le persone che amiamo e la capacita' di creare bellissimi ricordi insieme, ci rendono ricchi. Mamma e Papa', grazie per tutto quello che mi avete donato e per avermi dato i mezzi per diventare l'uomo che sono oggi, la persona che Laura vede e ama.
