FAQs

What airport should I fly into?

You will fly into La Aurora International Airport located in Guatemala City. However, the wedding venue is in Antigua, which is about 45 to 60 minutes from the airport, but can be longer depending on day of the week and time of day. Please take that into consideration when making travel arrangements. Most guests will likely fly in on or before Friday, November 18. Kindly note, November is the beginning of high season in Guatemala, so we strongly encourage our guests to book travel and accommodations early!

Where do you recommend I stay?

Our block at Casa Santo Domingo is now fully booked. However, there are several hotels as well as Airbnb and options nearby. The following options are all within walking distance of our wedding venue:
The Good Hotel
goodhotel.co/antigua
El Convento Boutique Hotel
www.elconventoantigua.com
El Carmen Hotel
www.elcarmenhotel.com/

Are kids welcome?

While we love all your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!

What’s the best way to explore Antigua? How do I get around?

Antigua is a walking city with cobblestone streets, so plan to bring comfortable shoes to explore on foot. Uber, taxis and tuk tuks are also available, but most places are within walking distance. Additionally, our wedding takes place on the same weekend as the annual ‘Festival de las Flores’, in which the city is covered in flowers. Kindly note, we are expecting more people and traffic congestion because of the festivities.

What will the weather be like?

The weather in Antigua is pleasant with warm days, chilly evenings, and little rainfall throughout the month of November. The ceremony will take place in an outdoor shaded area of Casa Santo Domingo. The cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors.
