The all-inclusive resort we've chosen is Dreams Las Mareas! She's located on an expansive palm-studded beach and surrounded by lush green mountains & jungles on Playa El Jobo in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica, guests of all ages can enjoy an action–packed vacation with watersports and land activities or relax by our swimming pools while sunbathing or laying under a thatched palapa. Continue the fun into the evenings with live nightly entertainment, outdoor bars and lounges, and so much more.

KEY BOOKING DETAILS

• To be considered part of the Cordeiro/Piper wedding group, you must book through the group rates and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). We have negotiated competitive group rates and secured a room block to make this as easy as possible. For those requesting to book rooms close to other guests, the exact room selection will be coordinated by your travel agent closer to our travel dates.

• Rates are available for the room block dates of 7/18/22 - 7/24/22 (based on availability) but you can stay as long or little as you'd like! Please note, to book at these rates you are REQUIRED to stay a minimum of 3 nights.

• Room rates are per person per night in USD and include all taxes and gratuities.

Rates Exclude: Travel protection and round-trip airfare.

BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS

The rooms listed on the booking site above are the rooms the bride and groom have blocked out, meaning TRAVSPOT has already pulled them from general inventory. If you are interested in a different room category than originally discussed with the wedding party, please let TRAVSPOT know sending your booking request. We will have to request the category into our block and it is not guaranteed. *Rule of Thumb: It will be easier to downgrade to a less expensive room than it will be to upgrade to a more expensive room. 


STEP 1: BOOKING YOUR TRAVEL
EMAIL Lucy@TheTRAVspot.com the following information:
- Names and DOB of all guests (must match passports exactly)
- Room Selection (If you can't remember the room type that initially discussed with the wedding party, please reach out to Stefanie Cordeiro)
- Travel Dates
- Trip Protection Decision (GPP or GPP+)


STEP 2: PORTAL ACTIVATION
Within 48 hours, you'll receive an invoice to review and a link to activate your client portal from Lucy@TheTRAVspot.com. If all the information on the invoice is correct, you will:
1. Complete the prompted portal tasks
2. Confirm your trip protection decision and authorize your deposit payment.


STEP 3: AUTHORIZING PAYMENT
When you are in your client portal, click on "Trip Management" and then to to "My Trips". Click on the resort name in blue and then click the green button to "Pre Approve Payment".
Authorize the amount you would like to pay. If you do not wish to pay in full at this time, all future payments will follow this process. The deposit to secure your room is $500/person. Final payments are due by May 1st, 2022.

FLIGHTS

The closest international airport to the resort is LIBERIA International Airport (LIR). It's approximately 50 miles from the resort or an hour and a half ride.

We recommend booking your flights as early as you can. Two of our favorite site to search flights or monitor pricing is www.google.com/flights or the Hopper APP.


SHUTTLE SERVICE

Transportation to and from the Liberia airport is included in your booking price. Shuttles will be arranged for all the guests so no need to arrange a taxi. Please provide our travel agent with your flight details when your flight has been booked.

RETURN FLIGHTS

A return flight ticket is needed when entering Costa Rica. The immigration officer will ask for it upon your arrival. Your country of origin determines the amount of days available to stay in Costa Rica as a tourist.

Visitors to Costa Rica must have a valid passport as well as proof of their intent to exit the country before their visa or entry stamp expires, usually within 90 days.

PAYMENT DETAILS

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE RATE?

This rate includes your hotel room stays, food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, taxes and tips. Additionally, your total includes shuttle service to and from the airport (2-hour driving commute).


DEPOSIT

A non-refundable* deposit of $150 per person is requested to secure your room. Placing the deposit secures the room and we have flexibility to add or remove travelers up until 60 days prior to travel. These payments will show up as "Vacation Express" on your Credit Card Statements.

When booking you room, you will have the option to pick:
• Deposit Only
• Pay in Full
• Apply an additional amount over the $150 deposit


REFUNDS (should you need to request one)

Should you cancel with insurance before the final payment date, refunds will be awarded directly from Vacation Express.

Everything is fully refundable (in the form of cash back or future credit depending on the trip insurance plan you choose) up until the day before departure. If you cancel after the final payment date with no trip insurance, you are responsible for the full payment.

TRIP PROTECTION

Trip Protection is available and ALWAYS recommended. By purchasing trip protection, you'll be able to cancel for any reason, and choose between receiving a future booking credit (GPP), or cash back (GPP+). Please review the options and let us know which plan you would like to purchase at the time of booking.

You can cancel your vacation for any reason and receive a
refund in the form of a future travel certificate. GPP must be added to your booking within 7 days of providing names and no later than 90 days prior to departure. This plan is not available with non-refundable hotel rates or air only. Once purchased, your plan cost is non-refundable.

You can cancel your vacation for any reason and receive a

EXTENDING YOUR STAY?

For our guests looking to experience the country and have extra adventures, you'll most likely want to fly into/out of the airport in Costa Rica's capitol city San Jose. Generally, it is cheaper to fly into San Jose than Liberia. But please note that this airport is about a 4.5 hour drive to Dreams Las Mareas.

ADDITIONAL FAQ


When should I book?

We suggest you place a deposit as soon as you know you will be joining us! This is a busy time and there will be other weddings happening at the resort that weekend. We would hate for you to miss out on a room if you intend on joining us! If you are unsure about your plans this far in advance, feel free to talk to our travel agent about the cancellation policy in case you may need it!


How long should I stay?
The resort requires a minimum 3 night stay. The wedding couple will be arriving Monday, July 18th with wedding festivities beginning on the 20th. We suggest arriving at least 2 days before the wedding (ceremony is on July 22nd) in case of any travel delays.


Do I have to book through your travel agent?
YES! To be included in our room count and wedding festivities it is important you book through TRAVSpot.


What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed, but we completely understand this trip will not be possible for everyone. Please head to the home page of our site and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.


Are children welcome?
Absolutely! The resort offers adult-only options but is also very family friendly. Dreams has an Explorers Club for kids ages 3-12 that is open from 9AM-10PM if you want to bring the kids on the trip but would also like some time to yourselves! With that being said, the rehearsal dinner and ceremony/reception are adult only events (21 and up). Learn more by clicking here.


Will I need a passport?
Yes! Every guest must have a valid passport. You will need this to board your flight and to check in at the resort. Your passport must be valid 6 months from your return date. For information on applying or renewing your passport, click here.


Are there other wedding events that I can attend?
Yes! We will have several opportunities for the group to gather prior to and after the actual wedding day. We will send out more information as we get closer to the big day!


Can I use American Dollars?
Yes, but many resorts and stores won't take USD, so be sure to prepare your credit and debit cards. Call your bank and let them know the dates you will be gone. Charges made at the resort or elsewhere on your trip may be subject to a foreign transaction fee by your bank (normally 1-3%).


Do I need to exchange my US Dollars for Costa Rican tender or colones?
No, you don’t. The staff happily accept US dollars and it is considered legal tender in Costa Rica. Most ATMs in large cities will dispense both tenders, but card transactions are heavily taxed (about 13%) so please bring plenty of cash!


What's the best form of communication while in Costa Rica?
The AppyCouple app! WhatsApp or Facebook messenger will also work! Please download and use the app to avoid international fees.


Is there a dress code at the resort?
Yes. Certain restaurants require men to wear long pants; others do not allow flip flops for men or women. Please refer to the resort website under “Dining & Drinks” to find out dress codes for each restaurant since they do vary.
