Frequently Asked Questions

How do I RSVP?

We are collecting all RSVPs through this website.  Simply click on the RSVP ribbon in the upper right hand corner to submit your response.  We hope to see you!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than March 25th, 2023.

Are the wedding ceremony and reception venues wheelchair accessible?

Yes, both venues are wheelchair accessible.  The site for the ceremony does require traveling for several minutes along a well-maintained gravel path.  Please reach out to us in advance if you think you may need assistance so we can ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible.

What's the easiest way to get to and from your venues?

If you are coming from out of town, we recommend staying in the city and using Uber, Lyft or a cab to get to the ceremony venue.  We will provide trolley transportation between the garden and the reception venue and an Uber or Lyft credit to return to your hotel at the end of the night.

Is parking available near your venues?

We strongly recommend taking Uber or Lyft to the ceremony and utilizing our provided transportation options for the rest of the night. There is no dedicated parking available at either venue location. If you choose to drive anyway, please be prepared to drive around looking for available street parking and to walk several blocks from your car to the venues.

Ceremony Venue:  We recommend against driving to the ceremony as parking is extremely limited. There is a small parking lot directly in front of the Garden for visitors to use.  Please be aware that the Garden will be in full bloom and this lot will likely be very busy.  You may arrive and find that there are no spots available. The gates to this lot will lock promptly at 4 p.m. If your car is still in this lot at 4 p.m. you will not be able to retrieve it until after the garden opens the following day. Parking is at your own risk.

Please do not park in the Reed College parking lot across the street from the garden. Your car will be towed.

Reception Venue:  Parking around the reception venue is on-street parking only.  There are no fees required to park on the street in this area on Sundays.  Be aware that this area can get busy and you may have to park several blocks away from Coopers Hall.  For this reason, we encourage you to plan to take the trolley to the reception and use the Uber or Lyft code to return to your hotel room at the end of the night.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors in a reserved area of the garden.  Please wear shoes that allow you to walk comfortably on grass.

The reception will be indoors at Coopers Hall.  The venue does have large garage doors that can be opened to the outdoors.  Depending on the weather, it may not be possible to open the doors.  Due to the needs of the winemaking process, Coopers Hall maintains a strict internal temperature of 68 degrees.

Do you have a rain plan for the ceremony?

Umbrellas!  Ok, we're joking...sort of.  The rain in Portland is typically more of a mist than a downpour.  If it's raining, the ceremony in the Garden will still take place as planned (with umbrellas provided as you arrive at the Garden).  Please dress accordingly so you're warm and dry.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Due to capacity restrictions at our venues, we are unable to accommodate any guests that are not listed on your RSVP page (click the RSVP banner in the upper right hand corner to check).  Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Due to capacity restrictions at our venues, we are unable to accommodate any guests that are not listed on your RSVP page (click the RSVP banner in the upper right hand corner to check). Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

What type of food will be served?

Appetizers will be served during cocktail hour, followed by a seated dinner served family style.  The menu is seasonal and will be finalized closer to the wedding.  We look forward to sharing more with you soon!

When you RSVP, you will be prompted to provide details regarding any allergies or special dietary requirements.  Please reach out to us with any questions.

Where can I find the link to your registry?

We do not have a registry and gifts are not expected.  Your presence with us on this special day is the greatest gift we could ask for and we cannot wait to celebrate with you!

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 p.m. and guests are welcome to begin arriving 45 minutes beforehand.  Our musicians will begin playing at 2:00 p.m. and the garden is a beautiful space to explore.  We encourage arriving early to allow time for parking and to walk to the ceremony site unhurried.

Will there be a time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Not by much!  Please plan on traveling directly to Coopers Hall after the ceremony is over.
