Travel Info
Complimentary Bus Transfers
We will be providing bus transfers to and from the Moon Palace All Inclusive Resort on the day of wedding. If you plan on using the bus, please notify Vanessa after RSVP via the contact form available on hotel tab on this website.
Frankfort Villa Parking
Parking at the wedding venue is very limited and therefore we recommend those that do intend to drive carpool. Please let us know if you plan to drive so we can arrange available parking with the venue management; however note that vehicles cannot be left on the property overnight.
Reminder to check your passport to ensure it is valid for July 2022! We have heard that renewing passports has been taking longer than usual, so please plan ahead.
You also need to check with the airline you are travelling with to see if they require a 6 month validity period in order to travel.
For those who want to maximize their time in Jamaica, we recommend purchasing Club Mobay tickets to fast-track through the airport and immigration on arrival and departure.

Travel Policies?
Travel is currently permitted from the UK and US into Jamaica, once safety policies have been observed. Therefore, please ensure that you check the relevant links below to ensure that you are familiar with the requirements from your departing country and Jamaica before travelling.
As these policies have been subject to much change over the last 18 months, please also re-review the requirements for the country you are departing from and returning to closer to the time of travel.
Our travel advisor Vanessa will be monitoring the entry requirements for Jamaica on an ongoing basis and will update guest on any changes from the current requirements, but you can also review the current protocols yourself at: https://www.visitjamaica.com/travelauthorization/

Guidance on Returning to the UK
Additionally, where possible we would recommend looking into travel insurance for your trip for added comfort around any potential changes due to circumstances outside of your control.
COVID-19 Test?
A Covid-19 test needs to be taken within 3 days of traveling to Jamaica for all travellers age 12 & over and even those who are vaccinated need to test right now (it can be a rapid test to get test results back quickly).
All testing details can be found at: www.visitjamaica.com/travelauthorization/test-req/
DO YOU HAVE ANY HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS?
Yes. Please reference the Hotel tab on this site for accommodation information.
Currency?
We strongly recommend AGAINST exchanging money at your arrival Airport, as they typically do not offer competitive exchange rates. Jamaica’s currency is the Jamaican Dollar (JMD), however the USD is also widely used on the island and accepted at most restaurants/bars/shops/excursion companies accept credit cards. We recommend exchanging currency with a local bank/ currency broker prior to arriving in Jamaica as this will enable you to review competitive quotes and purchase your travel money at the best value possible.
Most major credit cards are accepted at larger establishments.
Should I rent a car?
Driving in Jamaica is on the left side of the road (opposite of the U.S). This requires a certain level of adaptation and dexterity for US drivers. Additionally, there are many unspoken rules of the road (particularly overtaking) that can be daunting to someone who has never driven in Jamaica. Therefore, please give due consideration to whether you will feel comfortable driving in the country. We advise driving, only for more experienced drivers.
CAN I BRING A DATE?
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, please do not extend an invite to any further individuals as our head count is non-negotiable.
FOR OUT-OF-COUNTRY GUESTS, HOW WILL WE COMMUNICATE ONCE WE ARE ON THE ISLAND?
We would recommend downloading the WhatsApp Messenger App prior to arriving in Jamaica (if you don't already have it). WiFi is included with hotel stay and wedding venue, enabling WhatsApp users to call and send messages to other travellers and wedding attendees, as well as family abroad during your time in Jamaica.
