COVID 19 Testing

Hard Rock Hotel will be offering 2 complimentary antigen tests per room to all guests booked at the resort with at least 3 night reservations.  Additional tests may be purchased for $50 USD. Please see Hard Rock's COVID testing protocol here. 

Medical Assistance

In light of the CDC Mandate, Hard Rock is also providing complimentary onsite medical assistance** for all existing and new reservations until December 31, 2021 or until the government mandate is lifted.

Airfare will be available for purchase beginning in May 2020. You will have the option to add flights to your existing room reservation or shop and purchase flights on your own, which will allow you to use credit card points, frequent flier miles, and/or discount/different airlines to customize your flight to Dominican Republic.

The purchase of travel insurance SUGGESTED due to the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19. If insurance is/was purchased upon initial deposit, your policy contains "cancel for any reason" coverage. Please refer to the link in your itemized deposit/payment invoice for policy information. 

IF you wish to add insurance 7+ days AFTER your deposit, insurance coverage for COVID-related cancellations may not extend beyond personal illness (prior to or during your trip) and emergency care in the DR, since the pandemic is now considered a "known, foreseeable event". If the entire trip is cancelled by Classic Vacations (our chosen travel supplier), you maybe eligible for an entire refund of your trip PLUS the cost of your travel insurance policy.

If  you have yet to book your room and choose to do so now, you will be given the option to add travel insurance to your reservation starting at $79 per person. (Travel Insurance premiums may increase, depending on the total cost of your trip).

Travel Insurance attached to your reservation must be paid with your initial deposit and insurance is 100% non-refundable. 

A valid Passport BOOK is required to travel to the Dominican Republic. Passports that are set to expire before October 2021 will need to be renewed prior to the trip (in order to comply with international travel regulations).

The Dominican Republic spent some time in the news in 2019 due to "mysterious tourist deaths". It was determined that none of these situations were linked and all due to natural causes (article).

We want to assure you that we would have NEVER chosen this destination if we felt your safety was at risk. We encourage you to use customary caution as you would when traveling outside of the US, but there is no increased danger by traveling to DR.
