Carrie and Daniel met in 2014 when they were both interns at Walt Disney World doing the Disney College Program. Daniel met one of Carrie's roommates, Jamie, on the way to a housing meeting and convinced her to bring her roommates out with his roommates later that night on the infamous party bus. The girls of apartment 312 all decided to go and Carrie and Daniel met for the first time. Carrie's first impression of Dan was that he was the weirdest person she had ever met in her life...and this still holds true today. Daniel, Carrie, and their roommates quickly became friends and spent a lot of their free time together when they weren't working by going to the parks and to House of Blues every Wednesday for their legendary "Rewind Wednesday" event. On Carrie's 22nd birthday, Daniel knew it was his opportunity to let Carrie know that he was interested in her as more than a friend. With the assistance of his wingman, Patrick, Dan made his best attempt to charm Carrie with some shots of tequila and his killer moves on the House of Blues dance floor. Dan spent the next week pursuing Carrie and took her on their first official date to see the Osbourne Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Exactly one week after Carrie's birthday, Daniel, Carrie, and crew went out to House of Blues again, and after a few drinks Daniel asked Carrie to be his girlfriend, to which Carrie was reluctant to say yes not knowing if Daniel would regret asking the next morning. The next day, Carrie asked Daniel if he remembered asking her to be his girlfriend and let him know that he could "take it back" if he didn't mean it. Dan said he very much meant it and they began their relationship.
After two and a half years of long distance, two years of living together in Florida, and several embarrassing fake proposals in public places, Daniel decided it was time to ask Carrie to marry him. He devised a plan to surprise Carrie by telling her that his friend needed pictures for her new photography business and asked if she would be willing to do a photoshoot with him. They took several pictures around downtown Winter Garden and ended up on a dock down at Lake Apopka. Carrie was asked to do some solo shots looking out at the water and when she turned around Daniel was down on one knee. Carrie was surprised but suspicious since Dan had fake proposed SEVERAL times before. She asked if it was for real this time and when he said it was she said yes! After a delicious meal at the Chef's Table at Edgewater, Carrie and Daniel went back to their house where Daniel had another surprise waiting for Carrie which was both of their families and their friends all there waiting to celebrate with them.
