We highly recommend booking flights and accommodations ASAP! Charleston is a popular vacation spot in May, so things will book up fast.
Charleston International Airport (CHS)
- 10 min drive to downtown Charleston
- Small, local airport
Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE)
- 1.5 hr drive
- Regional Airport in Columbia, SC
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)
- 2 hr drive to Charleston
- Easy drive up the coast
Other Transportation Options:
Charlotte (CLT): larger airport with lots of flights, ~3 hr. drive to Charleston.
Atlanta (ATL): tons of cheap flight options, but the furthest drive at ~5.5 hours from Charleston.

There are many other options downtown on the peninsula, in Mt. Pleasant, or on James Island that could be a great fit for you and your family! We recommend looking into the many hotel chains in Charleston (Marriot, Hilton, etc) as well as Air BnB/VRBO or Boutique hotel options if the room block does not work for you.

Transportation will not be provided during Wedding events (Rehearsal Dinner & After Party on 4/30, and the Wedding Ceremony & Reception on 5/1).
Depending on where you are staying, there are many rideshare options (uber/lyft/peticab) to get to the events downtown.
Downtown Charleston is also VERY walkable if you are staying anywhere on the peninsula!
If you are planning on staying near the beach or far away from downtown, we highly recommend getting a rental car for the weekend.
We have plenty of parking if you choose to drive on the wedding day! Please feel free to park (at no charge!) in close proximity to Cannon Green at 217 Rutledge Ave. (Church of the Holy Communion).
