How to Get to Tucson

Thank you for considering taking a weekend trip to Tucson. Tucson has its own airport with several nonstop flights from various cities. For some, connecting flights will be necessary. Alternatively, you can fly into Phoenix Skyharbor which is ~90 minutes away. From Phoenix you can either rent a car or take a shuttle to Tucson.

Things to Do!

As a pseudo-Tucson local, Cara put together the following list of activities in Tucson. There's truly something for everyone!

Hiking: Pima Canyon, Ventana Canyon, Sabino Canyon, Seven Falls, Mount Lemmon

Site-seeing: University of Arizona (Bear Down!), Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, San Xavier del Bac, Old Tucson Studios, Tombstone

Shopping: University Ave, La Encantada, 4th Ave

Drinking/Eating: Tucson is a UNESCO City of Gastronomy which is a prestigious accolade awarded to two cities in the US. You should definitely indulge your taste buds while in town! tucson.cityofgastronomy.org/tcog-certified-restaurants

- Barrio Brewing Company: The spinach artichoke dip is a MUST.

Kingfisher: Fish in the desert may not sound appealing but this restaurant is awesome.

La Cocina Downtown: Great vibe, good Mexican food.

Hotel Congress: Fun place to grab cocktails and enjoy the downtown scene. They also have a good breakfast restaurant, The Cup Cafe.

The Buffet: One of the top dive bars in America but not for the faint of heart.
