This was a frequent stop for the two of us while we were living near Columbus Circle. This is also the restaurant where John asked Brynn's parents for their permission to marry her!

Strawberry Fields

With our venue being steps away from Central Park, be sure to check out the living memorial to the world-famous singer/songwriter John Lennon. This tranquil section of Central Park was named after one of Lennon's favorite songs, "Strawberry Fields Forever." You are almost guaranteed to hear street performer's renditions of Beatle's classics.

New York Public Library/Bryant Park

Being so close to our apartment, we spend a lot of time here! In the summer they have outdoor movies on the lawn that we love to attend. Grab some food from one of the street vendors and take a seat at one of the little green tables. You'll finally feel relaxed in this crazy city! This is also where we took our engagement photos!

Located between 40th and 42nd streets, from 5th and 6th avenues

Maison Pickle

We recommend the buffalo mac and cheese and the 24 layer chocolate cake.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum or "the Met" for short, is the largest art museum in the United States. It carries some of the most famous pieces by Van Gogh, Monet and Degas. It would take days to see everything, but we recommend the Temple of Dendur in the Egyptian wing. It is incredible. If you don't have time to go inside the museum, you can take a picture on the steps out front and pretend you're in Gossip Girl.

Located at: 1000 5th Ave (at 82nd St.)

Chelsea Market

This market was built in the factory where the Oreo cookie was invented and produced. Shop here for local food and handmade clothing and accessories.

LENWICH / LENNY'S

Conveniently located everywhere, Lenwich is John's staple for a quick, delicious sandwich or salad. Try not to miss the Tate's Cookies bags by the register when you are checking out.

5 NAPKIN BURGER

Great atmosphere and even better burgers. Yes, you will need about five napkins to help you through the experience.

GARLIC PIZZA BAR

We've never actually been to this place, but account for 90% of their revenue through delivery. Their pizza and penne alla vodka is delicious. If you decide to go the sit-down route, let us know how it is!

No website. I can upload a picture of the delivery guy next time he shows up.

FRIEND OF A FARMER

Highly recommended brunch spot! An old townhome, tucked away in Gramercy, renovated into a farm-style restaurant. Arrive before noon to beat the crowd.
