Anita and Bryan

Bryan and Anita's love story began a few days before Christmas 2015. They matched on Bumble and Anita made the first move by messaging Bryan about his coconut picture (note that women have to make the first move on Bumble).

After a few days of flirting on Bumble, Bryan took a leap and decided to ask Anita out on a date. However, she was post nights and had a much needed girls happy hour at 4 pm. She luckily gave him an hour and half of her time. All she asked for was chocolate and caffeine.  Bryan delivered that and more at Le Chocoholique over an espresso/chocolate martini and chocolate truffles and the rest is history. 

Bryan proposed in Asheville, NC on a short getaway over Memorial Day weekend.  Since they met over chocolate, he couldn't think of a better way to propose than over chocolate truffles and champagne.  He had the surprise waiting for them upon arrival in the hotel room.

Two funny things about this proposal.  First, Anita was driving a little on the fast side and they were due to arrive much sooner than Bryan had planned, so he was worried the chocolate and champagne wouldn't be in the room yet.  He requested to take over the wheel while Anita slept.  Bryan drove under the speed limit until arrival.  Needless to say Anita was not happy when she woke up and realized they had lost time.  Of course she didn't know what was soon to come.

Second, when they arrived at the hotel, Anita did not want to open the box of chocolates because she thought it was a mistake and didn't want to have to pay for the chocolates, lol...  Bryan insisted and eventually once they got the box open he proposed :)
