The first time I saw Yinka was at church, he looked to me like your regular church guy with a cute face. I also remember how he never danced during praise, but just always stood still, clapping his hands. I understand why now, lol.

On this early Sunday morning, I had been tossing and turning in my bed, contemplating whether or not to go to church as it had been a very stressful and tedious week. Eventually, I pulled myself away from the bed with every strength I could muster and made my way to church. I eventually got in through the back door just as worship was starting, standing at the altar leading worship was Bolu, that was the first time I really noticed her......

....for the next few minutes all I could do was stare. I knew I had to say hello to her after service that day. Just hello.. nothing more. I tried to remain focused for the rest of the service. Fast forward to after service, she happened to be with a mutual friend.
' ****, won't you introduce me to your friend?' were my exact words...

We both walked toward towards him, my friend and I. I was surprised at his sudden request to meet me. He had been standing in front of one of the church entrances with another friend of his. 'Hi, my name's Bolu, what's yours?' I said.. pretending not to know his name already. We introduced ourselves and that was it ... nothing happened after that! lol , literally nothing. So I walked off after the 'awkward introduction'....
Bolu

... fast forward to a few months after the initial awkward introduction, we got re-introduced again ( by a different person this time) at a single's program, this time it was less awkward and we talked for a long time, got to know a bit more about each other and then we finally exchanged numbers. 'Call me when you get home..' I said
Olayinka

She didn't call when she got home, neither did she reply my text messages until a few days after. 'You've been driving on Lagos-Ibadan expressway for 2 days now?' I joked with her the next time we got to talk over the phone...
We have spoken every single day from that day till date.. so yes, it's a good time to say 'the rest is history'.....
