ABOUT OUR CEREMONY AND RECEPTION

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a dark suit and tie or a sports coat.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The ceremony will be taking place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst (300 Dundee Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374) and is the only wedding event not on Pinehurst Resort’s Property.

Our reception will be taking place in the Donald Ross room of Pinehurst Resort’s Clubhouse (1 Carolina Vista Dr., Pinehurst, NC 28374).

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be indoors, cocktail hour will be outdoors on the veranda of the Donald Ross Room, followed by our reception which will be indoors.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served at our cocktail hour, followed by dinner at the reception. Dinner will be seated, and you will have your choice between New York strip steak, salmon, and mushroom risotto.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

We will have a vegetarian option at the reception. Should you have any allergies, please note them on the back of your response card.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP, or can I do it online?

The deadline to RSVP is July 24. You may RSVP on our website, but please ensure you send in your response card so we know what you would like for dinner.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can’t make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

ABOUT TRANSPORTATION

How do I get to the venue?

Transportation will not be provided from resort properties to the ceremony and is just a short 5-minute drive away.

However, transportation will be provided from any of the resort properties to the cocktail hour / reception and following the reception to the after-hours.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Free parking is available at all Resort properties, as well as the church. Both The Carolina and The Holly Inn offer complimentary valet.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

During the entirety of your stay at Pinehurst Resort properties, transportation will be provided by the Resort between any Resort properties and the Village of Pinehurst. All you will need to do is tell a Pinehurst Resort employee that you are ready for the shuttle and they will call for the shuttle.

The only exception to transportation being provided is to and from the ceremony.

ABOUT OUR WEDDING WEEKEND AND TIMELINE

What time should I arrive at the ceremony and reception?

Our ceremony will start promptly at 1pm, so please arrive in be in your seats 10 minutes before the top of the hour.

Feel free to arrive at the cocktail reception at your leisure after 5pm, the reception will begin at 6pm.

What happens after the ceremony?

Due to the timing of the ceremony, there will be roughly a three-hour break between the conclusion of the ceremony and the beginning of the cocktail reception.

Upon arriving in Pinehurst, welcome bags will include some information on suggestions for enjoying the Resort and Village of Pinehurst during the break.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

If you will be arriving early, there will be a group golfing The Cradle on Friday with tee times between noon and 1PM. Should you wish to join this group let Colleen know. If you would like to book another tee time during your stay, guests may make tee times sixty days in advance for courses No. 1 and No. 3-8. Course No. 2 can be reserved thirty days in advance. Call 1-800-487-4653 and press option 3 to book your tee time. Be sure to mention you are an unaccompanied guest of Brian Osborne and attending our wedding.

ABOUT PINEHURST RESORT AND ACCOMODATIONS

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Pinehurst Resort is pleased is offer our guests the following discounted rates. Guests may choose their building location based on rate and room availability at time of reservation.

It is important to note these rooms are not held out of inventory as part of a block and the rates are only available until the resort has reached an occupancy level when discounted rooms are no longer offered, so we suggest booking your accommodations early.

Once discounted rooms are no longer available, guests may still be able to book a room at the prevailing resort rate until the resort is sold out.

ABOUT THE VILLAGE OF PINEHURST

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Daily high temperatures range from 85°F to 77°F, rarely falling below 68°F or exceeding 92°F.

Daily low temperatures range from 67°F to 58°F, rarely falling below 46°F or exceeding 73°F.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

Where are you registered?

We will not be registering for gifts; your presence is enough of a gift to us. Should you decide that you would like to give us a gift beyond attending our wedding, we ask that you consider making a donation to the Dan O’Kane Memorial Scholarship in honor of Colleen’s father who passed away in 2018 and whose presence will be missed at this joyous occasion. You can make a contribution here.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #BOCO so we can keep track of all of your wonderful pictures!
