Where to stay

Faraya

Faraya is the area where we'll be staying in Lebanon, around 1h drive from the capital city of Beirut. The hotels, the ceremony, the party, and Michel's family house are all in the same neighbourhood, about a 7-10 minute drive from each spot.

Visas

Citizens from the EU, US, UK, and many other countries can obtain visas upon arrival, so you don't need anything before the trip. For additional information, you can check the entry requirements here.

Currency

Both USD and LBP (Lebanese Pound) are accepted in the country. LBP can be quite volatile, so we recommend carrying cash in USD. The smaller the dollar notes, the better ;)

*Please note that ATM cash withdrawals are not available in the country, so make sure to have cash with you during your stay!

Credit Cards & Cash

Hotels will not accept credit cards as a payment method!

However, some shops do accept cards, but make sure that transactions are charged in USD, not Lira!

The largest LBP bill is 100,000, which is currently equivalent to about 1 dollar.

Moving Around

We will be arranging transportation during your stay, so you don't have to worry about going around.

If you prefer exploring on your own, driving is the best option. Here are our recommendations:

Private Taxis (recommended option)
You can contact them via WhatsApp or phone call, but make sure to book at least 20 minutes in advance. Cash is the only accepted payment method.
- Snow Taxi: +9613583068
- Allo Taxi: +9611517070
- Star Taxi: +9611250230 / +9613408705

Uber and Bolt
Both are mainly available in Beirut, but make sure to switch the payment method to CASH to avoid additional charges.

Mobile Data

Make sure to turn off mobile data/roaming once you arrive in Lebanon, as it can be quite pricey. The best option for mobile data is to purchase a local SIM upon arrival (Alfa or Touch) or rely on WiFi. This should cost around $10-20 for approximately 10GB of data.
