Closest Airports

Sacramento International Airport (SMF): we recommend flying here & renting a car for the approx. 1 hour drive to wine country! There is also a shuttle that will take you into Napa.

Oakland International Airport (OAK): rent a car for the 1 hour drive! 


Driving

Napa Valley is about an 8 hour drive from San Diego and about 7 hours from Orange County.

Schramsberg Vineyards (St. Helena): can't miss this tour through their caves!

Domaine Chandon (Yountville): perfect if you love sparkling wine

Artesa (Napa): beautiful 360 degree views from this tasting room built into a hillside

Cakebread Cellars (Oakville): good for a buttery Chardonnay

V. Sattui Winery (St. Helena): fun place for a picnic & a glass (or two) of wine

HDV (Napa): a winery shared by the legendary Hyde & Villaine families, this is a can't miss spot

Stewart Cellars (Yountville): great tasting room in this cute town


Restaurants

Brix (Yountville): perfect spot for lunch - check out the garden in the back

La Calenda (Yountville): delicious Mexican dishes from Chef Thomas Keller

Oxbow Market (Napa): can't miss the breakfast tacos from C Casa!

Gott's Roadside (St. Helena or Napa): best burgers ever (ok this is just Danielle's opinion...)

Oenotri (Napa): yummy Italian 

Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch (St. Helena): just really great food

Model Bakery (St. Helena or Napa): best breakfast sandwiches

Redd Wood (Yountville): artisan pizza and salads

Bouchon Bakery (Yountville): the quiche & pastries from Thomas Keller are worth the wait
