COVID-19 Change

Wedding Ceremony

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to limit our guests to our immediate family and wedding party. However, we want everyone to participate in our wedding ceremony. Therefore, we will be streaming it live via Zoom. Please join us for the ceremony through the link provided!

How to Engage

While you won't be there with us in-person, we still want you to be able to engage with us! We will have the chat open for you to connect during the ceremony. For 15 minutes after the ceremony, we will be on Zoom to chat with everyone.

The Future

We hope to have smaller parties with everyone sometime in the near future when life returns to normal!

Things to do
More Than a Fly Over City

Minneapolis is a fun city to visit with lots of great breweries, restaurants, and options to explore the outdoors. However, there are only a few months each year you can visit without freezing, and June is hopefully one of them in 2020. Here is a list of some of our favorite things to do!

Breweries

There are many great breweries in Minneapolis. Most are located in NE Minneapolis so you can check out several at once. Don't forget to grab a snack at one of the food carts stationed outside! Here are five of our favorites.

Dangerous Man

A destination microbrewery & taproom located in NE Minneapolis. Their focus is high-quality, small-batch production beers with ever-changing taps. They have a small taproom that fills up quick.

Indeed Brewing Company

Diverse offerings are anchored by its flagship Day Tripper Pale Ale, driven by new hits like Flavorwave IPA and Mexican Honey Light, and elevated by its Wooden Soul series of wild, sour, and barrel-aged beer. Located in NE with a large taproom.

Able Seedhouse

Works with Minnesota small grain farmers to source their seeds, bring them into the Seedhouse, malt them on premise in their half-ton malting system, and try to make limited, small production beers with that malt. Located in NE Minneapolis with a large taproom and outdoor seating area.

Modist Brewing Company

Modist pushes past traditional brewing by embracing creativity and unconstrained experimentation. Located in North Loop Minneapolis with a large taproom and opportunity for a brewery tour if you sign up ahead of visiting.

LynLake Brewing

Trendy destination for house beers and creative bar food in a remodeled theater with a roof deck. Located in Uptown near the venue with moderate sized taproom.

Restaurants

Immigrants from around the world settled in Minneapolis, so there is a lot of wonderful and diverse food. It isn't all meat and potatoes! Check out five of our favorite restaurants while you are in town.

Quang Restaurant

A family-owned restaurant serving delicious Vietnamese cuisine since 1989. The service is quick and the food is both amazing and cheap. Located on Eat Street near the venue. *Lunch and dinner.

Blue Door Pub

There were other Juicy Lucys before, but none celebrates this Minnesota delicacy quite like the Blucy at Blue Door Pub. Best burger and fries in the cities. Stop by the Lyn-Lake location close to the venue. *Lunch and dinner.

Midtown Global Market

Bustling market with stalls selling food and crafts from around the world. Located near our main hotel in Midtown. It is one of the best places to grab great food and a drink on the go. *Lunch and dinner

Surly Brewing

Surly took the Minneapolis brewing scene to the next level. They have a gorgeous complex with indoor and outdoor seating that serves great beer and food. It can be busy, so grab a beer and play some lawn games while you wait for your table. Located in the Prospect Park neighborhood. *Lunch and dinner.

Hola Arepa

Serves Venezuelan-style stuffed arepas, Latin American-influenced small plates, and tropical craft cocktails. They have a great brunch and outdoor seating area. Located on Eat Street near the venue. *Brunch

Explore

There are lots of places to explore in Minneapolis. Did you know that Minneapolis has 13 lakes, wetlands, the Mississippi River, creeks and waterfalls. Here are five of our favorite and cheap ways to explore the city.

Chain of Lakes

Following a paved path you can bike, run, or walk along the shores of five lakes. You can go 1 mile or 15 depending on how much you want to see! If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent paddle-boards from the shores of Lake Bde Maka Ska and explore several of the lakes via water. Located near our venue in the Uptown neighborhood.

Minnehaha Regional Park

One of Minneapolis' oldest and most popular parks features a majestic 53-foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, and river overlooks. Walk, run, or hike the paths of this expansive 167 acre park. Located 4 miles from our main hotel.

Walker Sculpture Garden

Showcases works from the Walker Art Center’s renowned collections of modern and contemporary art in the setting of an urban park. Free for the public, the expansive art pieces change out regularly. In the summer, there is an art themed mini golf course for a small fee. Located in Loring Park just north of our venue.

Mill City Farmers Market

Minneapolis' trusted source for local, sustainable and organic groceries, bringing fresh food, cooking education and live entertainment to one beautiful place. Located near the ruin's of what was once the world's largest flour mill in downtown Minneapolis. Grab a snack and walk across the Stone Arch Bridge for views of the Mississippi River and the city. *On the way to the NE breweries if you were to travel by bike share.

Self-Guided Brewery Tour

Grab a bike, get on the Greenway, and head out to NE Minneapolis to check out the breweries. Minneapolis is fairly flat, operates on a grid system, and is very bike friendly. Nice Ride is a great bike sharing option with many station locations. Take the bike share there and a ride share back to protect yourself and others!

*We will be doing a North Loop Brewery Tour on Sunday if you want to join!

Neighborhoods

Last, but not least, there are a lot of neighborhoods in Minneapolis. Our wedding events will take place in South Minneapolis in the neighborhoods of Uptown, Lyn Lake, and Midtown. A majority of our favorite places are also located in these neighborhoods. The breweries are located in NE Minneapolis, about 5 miles north of our main wedding hotel. It typically takes only 15 minutes by car to navigate from NE to South Minneapolis. Included is a guide for understanding the neighborhoods.
