Travel & Vaccine/COVID-19 Testing Protocol

Hi all! Please see below for an overview regarding your Travel Health Visa & COVID-19 testing to enter the Bahamas, as well as testing information to return to the U.S.

1. Starting 14 days prior to your departure date, create a Profile to apply for a health visa: travel.gov.bs/ -- includes personal info, passport info, vaccine card info, etc.

2. Add a Trip! After your profile is created, you'll need to add a trip with travel details and testing details (5 days out). All travelers will be required to obtain a negative COVID-19 test (either a Rapid Antigen Test or PCR), taken no more than five (5) days prior to the date of arrival in The Bahamas. The name and address of the lab where the test was performed must be clearly displayed on the test result (we reco taking 5 days before and uploading ASAP).

3. Get approved! Once your trip is processed and your payment is approved ($40 per person), you'll receive your Travel Health Visa.

4. Print or screenshot your Travel Health Visa and bring to the airport! You will need it for the airline.

Regarding return to the U.S. testing, you have three options:

1. Please reach out to Alex and I to help schedule testing either Saturday or Sunday morning (depending on when your departure is) 2. Plan to arrive to Eleuthera airport ~30-45 minutes early and they can perform a test on-site. 3. Most hotels are performing tests on site - feel free to check in to see if you're able to make an appointment directly through them.

While the actual wedding is on Eleuthera, everyone should plan to stay on Harbour Island. The easiest way to get to Harbour Island/Dunmore Town is to fly into North Eleuthera International Airport (ELH) through Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Nassau or Atlanta.

Once you touch down at ELH, grab a beer from the bar across the street and hop into one of the taxis to take you to the water taxi (about a 5 minute ride). The water taxis leave for Harbour Island every 10 minutes (also about a 5 minute ride). It's $10/per person cash for the taxi & water taxi.

Once on the island, the best (and only!) way to travel is by golf cart. We recommend that you rent a cart for the duration of your stay - there are 4 and 6-seaters available - please reference the MCDONALD/BATES wedding for a discounted 4-seater rate (you can arrange to have it waiting for you when you arrive on the water taxi). Everything on Harbour Island is extremely close and accessible (within a 5-minute golf cart ride), so getting around is super easy: Feel free to call to book directly with Michael's Rentals:  http://www.michaelscyclesbriland.com/ - please ask for Michael: 242-464-0994!

On the actual day of the wedding, everyone will be transported from Harbour Island to Eleuthera for the ceremony, reception and after party via a 5-minute water taxi - we'll send more information re: timing as we get closer.

PLEASE don't hesitate to reach out with questions, we're happy to help!
