When Bruno’s local work cafe closed, he sought out a new venue to fulfil his caffeine intake requirements. After going from cafe to cafe, he stumbled upon one where Averi worked as a waitress. The food and coffee was terrible but the waitress quickly ensured Bruno was a loyal customer from that day on.
Despite the lack of any photogenic qualities in Bruno in all (but not limited to) selfies, Averi still fell in love with him and he fell in love with her despite his unbridled aversion to said selfies.
And just 6 months later their whirlwind romance took them all the way to Europe, where Bruno maintained his inability to take a selfie by wearing his hat askew and looking like he was on day 4 of a bender. Averi is always and will always be ready for a selfie so no dramas there.
Many adventures were had and not only did they find themselves and their relationship, but they also discovered that Bruno was terrible with selfies from cameras of any era, digital or film.
Nothing to add here, Averi just looks great.
Once the travels were over, their search for the answer to how to take a good selfie of Bruno saw them make a base in Sydney for a few years, where they discovered not only how to live together properly, but also that increasing the angle of a selfie only exasperated how terrible Bruno looked.
As the years passed, Bruno decided to bring Averi back to Florence in October 2017 (after spending 7 months convincing her the trip was actually to the Australian desert) to pop the question and surprise her with a week in Italy with her closest friends. Surprisingly, she said yes to Bruno's question. Unsurprisingly, the nearby 360 camera proved that Bruno looks terrible in photos of not only the 2 normal dimensions of a photo, but the added 3rd dimension of a VR shot.
Averi cried (from being overwhelmed with emotion regarding the proposal/surprise of seeing her friends, not Bruno's lack of style)
And so, after many years together, not only had they gotten engaged in Averi's favourite city on Earth, but Averi had gotten the sign she needed that Bruno was the one: they *could* take an awesome selfie if Bruno doesn't face the camera (this is Bruno's favourite photo of them)
And so, with all said and done, here's to bringing all our closest friends and family together in Italy in June 2020, back to where it all came together for one big celebration of Bruno and Averi's relationship and their journey.
Just don't let Bruno face the camera.
