Zach and I met in Kansas City in 2016. We didn’t know it at the time but we had a mutual friend that I played sand volleyball with and that Zach went to high school with in Chicago. The mutual friend invited Zach to join us for a game because we needed a substitute player that was big and tall. Zach showed up in Jordans and a sweatsuit totally unprepared to play. He took off his shoes and rolled up his pant legs and the rest was history. He became a member of the team and the go to player that day.
After the game we went out with a group of friends for tacos and tequila, next thing I know Zach asked me out for an official first date!
