On a beautiful yet abruptly cold night in New Orleans on Halloween weekend, Dan and I randomly met amongst a group of friends. My friends and I were dressed up as the three blind mice and Dan's friend was dressed as a Lion and they wanted to grab a picture with us as they thought it would be hilarious. After laughing at the picture and discovering that the guys weren't from the area, we all decided to head over to a familiar bar to have a round of drinks. At the bar, Dan and I left our friends and laughed, danced and bantered for hours (literally) over drinks and live music and discovered we had tons in common. Once Dan's friends were ready to leave we exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes; little did we know we'd develop a long-distance relationship for 3 years traveling monthly between Pennsylvania and Texas just to see one another in person. The rest is history :)
