THE LOVE STORY OF ARANI & THANUSAN
Who would have thought that a dare would blossom into a love story between two humans separated by 1846 kilometres?
It was the highly recommended (5 Star Rating) Sri Lankan Tinder (managed by the Sri Lankan Aunties of Melbourne) that notified Arani about the very eligible bachelor Thanusan via her personal email during work hours. A final company decision convinced her to reach out to this fine young handsome man, resulting in Arani going against one of her most important rules for men "will not date a doctor". Arani and her work team decided that it was imperative to do a background check on this suitor’s potential as boyfriend material and so they decided to stalk him on Facebook. To their surprise - they shared a mutual trustworthy friend whom Arani decided to touch base with, only to receive a commendable and highly satisfactory recommendation. The friend later claimed his commission – a $600 chessboard - for his strong referral.
This so-called trustworthy friend, promptly called back the next day and to Arani's surprise had Thanusan on the phone with him. They were colleagues from Hervey Bay Hospital and were completing a handover of patients. They also decided that calling Arani was a vital part of their handover. Unfortunately, during this very awkward conversation the friend’s phone started "dying" and as a result of this life-threatening matter, the only logical option left was for Thanusan to call Arani back from his own phone. As he had lost a bet to his friend earlier, Thanusan agreed to call Arani back. Little did he know, he was going to ask this very girl to marry him a year later.
Three years down the track we are both here today, inviting you to celebrate our union. We are truly grateful to have each and everyone of you be a part of our special day.
