Things to Do

Conneaut Cellars Winery and Distillery

Conneaut Cellars Winery was founded in February 1982 by Dr. Alan Wolf and released its first vintage in April 1983. Conneaut Cellars Distillery was established in September 2013 and was the first distillery in the Lake Erie Region of northwestern PA since Prohibition.

For more than 40 years, we believed that discerning connoisseurs should be able to enjoy excellent wines and spirits at affordable prices that express the grapes and grains that come from our region. Using state of the art equipment, this commitment to excellence means long hours. The result is delicious, artisan wines and spirits with complexity, character and balance.

Oakland Beach Golf Course

Shelter yourself from the distractions of everyday life and play Oakland Beach Golf Club. We invite you to experience one of Pennsylvania’s premier public golf facilities. With over 90 years of traditions, Oakland Beach offers guests the complete golfing experience.

The 18-hole championship layout features rolling fairways surrounded by mature woodlands. After your round, satisfy your appetite at our restaurant/lounge, and don’t forget to visit our fully equipped, “PGA certified,” golf shop.

South Shore Rentals

South Shore Rentals is the ONLY place to rent kayaks, paddle boards and tubes in Conneaut Lake. We also have snacks, drinks, and some apparel at our store front if you want to stop by and grab something for your adventure on the lake. Sometime’s life feels like a battle, we say get out and paddle!

Fireman's Beach

Relax at the beach and enjoy a dip in the lake or just admire the lake views.  Walking distance to downtown Conneaut Lake shops and restaurants.

Ernst Trail

Traversing terrain with imprints of ice-age glaciation, the trail passes through the lush bottom lands of French Creek Valley. With 66 species of fish and 27 species of mollusks, French Creek is Pennsylvania's most biologically diverse body of water. From the creek to the end of the trail’s completed portion, the landscape is pastoral with varied environments of meadow and marsh, hardwood stands and hemlock thickets. The segment from Route 19 to Conneaut Lake parallels Conneaut Marsh, an ancient river valley infield with glacial debris, and home to nesting bald eagles and migrating waterfowl. The paved trail is five miles long, located from the Park Avenue Plaza in Meadville to Route 19, a distance of five miles.

Conneaut Lake Park

Enjoy the boardwalk, beach and tiki bar at Conneaut Lake Park (located next to the Hotel Conneaut).
