Our first meeting was in Atlanta, back in NYE 2010 when Ankit was told that the “Satsangis” were coming over for dinner. Throughout the years, though, we’d run into each other randomly and eventually, we started hanging out and became close friends.
Our true love story begins in 2014 when we both were attending medical school in the Caribbean. After countless hours of studying together he finally found the courage to ask her out on their first official date.

2019: Aparna in Baltimore and NC and Ankit in Atlanta
2020: Ankit in Macon, GA and Aparna in NC and Chicago

Ankit started planning 3 months prior for the June 1st date. He spoke to Aparna’s parents and brother and arranged for both families to meet
The plan was for her brother (Chirag) to take Aparna to a “work event” at Duke Gardens. When she reached…late by the way. Ankit surprised her and finally asked the magical question and she said YES!

We started our wedding planning, but in March 2020 the dreaded COVID unfortunately pushed our wedding back to the now date September 18, 2021!
Meanwhile... many amazing events have happened
Ankit started his residency in Family Medicine, Aparna graduated medical school and matched into the same residency as Ankit in Macon, GA
