Welcome
We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with you!
Here on our wedding website, we've posted important information regarding the weekend's events, venues, travel, accommodations, and activities around town.
For more streamlined communication and to view and contribute to our interactive photo gallery on our big day, make sure to download the Appy Couple App!

Courtyard Marriott
The Courtyard Marriott is right next door to the wedding venue and is reasonably priced.
Discounts on standard room rates are provided for wedding guests. When booking your reservation, make sure to tell them that you are attending our wedding to receive the discounted rate.
Marcus Whitman
The historic Marcus Whitman Hotel is a short walk away from the wedding venue.
Although a bit more pricey than other local hotels, the Marcus Whitman Hotel offers unique historic character and charm.
Quality Inn & Suites
The Quality Inn & Suites is only a short distance from the wedding venue. Better yet, it is right next door to one of our favorite local eateries, Crossbuck Brewing.
Fun fact: rumor has it that the Quality Inn is the old La Quinta where comedian Mike Birbiglia sleepwalked out of a second-story window, as made infamous by his retelling on This American Life.
Regional Airports
For those who will be flying, we recommend searching flights in and out of both Walla Walla and Pasco Airports.
The Pasco Airport is about 45 minutes from Walla Walla, but has more versatile options for flight availabilities.
Even though the Pasco and Walla Walla airports are only about 45 minutes apart, they often experience different winter weather conditions. In the event of flight delays or cancelations (knock on wood!) due to inclement weather, one airport may serve as a viable alternative to the other, and we are here to help with coordinating car rides!
We hope that in addition to celebrating with us, that you get a chance to explore around the town of Walla Walla.
There are a lot of great opportunities for wine tasting around Walla Walla. Some of our favorite tasting rooms include Saviah, Amavi, and the college's very own College Cellars (where the tasting fees and proceeds from bottle sales help support WWCC students).
With just a little bit of driving, you can access great spots for winter recreation, such as the Bluewood Ski Area. Bluewood is a very beginner-friendly ski area, but also features steep tree runs and excellent powder to keep more advanced skiers and snowboarders happy.
Umatilla National Forest provides the setting for all kinds of winter activities. Opportunities abound for sledding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing within a 1-hour drive from Walla Walla. Contact Melissa and Andy for tips on winter travel in the Blue Mountains or for advice on obtaining gear for the weekend.
McNary National Wildlife Refuge is a bird watcher's paradise about 30 minutes from Walla Walla.
Mill Creek and Bennington Lake have an excellent trail system just minutes from downtown Walla Walla.

Bacon & Eggs
A favorite local spot for big morning meals. Lots of delicious offerings for all food preferences plus beer on tap and decadent cocktails. Kid friendly.
Maple Counter Cafe
Delectable breakfast options, with a bit more emphasis on the sweets than Bacon & Eggs. Order the massive Apple Pancake if you're up for the challenge! Kid friendly.
Wingman Birdz + Brewz
Quality pub food with an extensive menu in a great location right downtown. Kid friendly.
Sweet Basil Pizzeria
A local gem. Melissa swears this place kept her alive when she first moved back to Washington and had to commute from Richland to Walla Walla for work. Delicious pizza slices, calzones, and salads. Local beer and wine options for the adults. Very relaxed, kid friendly atmosphere.
The Green Lantern
A good sports bar with above-average food and an excellent beer selection. Getting there requires a short drive from downtown. The site of Melissa and Andy's first date! 21+ only.
Andrae's Kitchen
Would you believe us if we told you that some of the best food in Walla Walla is in a gas station?
Hattaway's on Alder
A wonderful restaurant that blends Southern cuisine with Pacific Northwest ingredients. A little pricier than the other recommendations, but worth the trip if you want to sample some of the finest that Walla Walla has to offer. This is where Andy proposed! (Over a perfectly-crafted Old Fashioned cocktail, of course.) Not kid friendly.
Colville Street Patisserie
A French-inspired patisserie that makes unbelievably delicious pastries, desserts, and espresso drinks. Gelato, too, if that suits your fancy in February!
Melissa and Andy are planning to travel to England, Scotland, and Ireland later in the Fall of 2020.
That should give Melissa enough time to get around to reading James Joyce's Dubliners before they go, so that Andy will stop giving her a hard time about not having read it before.
They are looking forward to immersing themselves in the rich histories and landscapes, balancing their time between visiting museums and hiking in nature.
And while they have all of the household stuff they need, their charming old house needs a little TLC. Melissa and Andy are renovating their old home, originally built in 1902 in the historic German Immigrant neighborhood near Garrison Creek.
