Getting Around & Good to Know

Prague is a walking-friendly city, particularly if you're staying close to the action. Should you find yourselves further out, public transit (particularly the metro) and taxis / ride-share are quick and efficient.

Bolt: Ride-share app (similar to Uber) and notably cheaper than taxis. Download the app and set-up your account ahead of time.

Tram / Metro / Bus: Tickets are valid on all three (metro, tram, bus) and are sold at metro stations, DDP info offices, newstands, and kiosks (likely need cash / coins).

Options include: individual ticket (90 mins unlimited), short-term (30 mins unlimited), one-day pass, three-day pass.

Airport Express (AE) Bus Line: direct transfer between the airport and the main train station (located near city center)
Operating Hours: 5:30-22:00
Duration: ~40minutes
Fares: Ages 18+ (100 CZK) / 6-15 (50 CZK) / <6 (Free)

Currency: Czech Koruna (Crowns) / CZK.
1 CAD= ~17 CZK
1 EUR= ~25 CZK
1 MKD = ~0.40 CZK

i.e. Taxis (surcharge if paying by card), souvenir shops, few restaurants/pubs can be cash-only, etc.
