Our story started September 27, 2019 at a friend's wedding in Huntington Beach. We were introduced by a friend and my first reaction was "wow, he's so standoff-ish" so I moved along. The next day, we were seated on the same table at the reception. Unknowingly, I sat down on "his seat" and as soon as I realized, I got up and was about to move to the seat over. However, he insisted I take his seat while he took the seat next to me and we start chatting away. In that moment, I did not take this as anything serious but the more we chatted, the more I became intrigued. I then invited him to take a shot with a few people (despite what he tells everyone now) and the rest of the night is history!
The next morning, I texted a few of my friends telling them about this guy I had met the night before and how excited I was about him. Then that Thursday, we went on our first date to Natoma Cabana (where I had to conveniently make an excuse why I was late since I took too long to get ready) and luckily, it did not take more than just a few dates to know that he was the one!
Since then, we've gotten the chance to create so many beautiful memories together through all of our adventures. Now we can't wait to get married and embark on the next phase of our lives!
Our journey started at a good friend's wedding down in Huntington Beach. While we were introduced on the first night, nothing came of the interaction and it wasn't until Amy had stolen my seat at the reception dinner that we properly met!
While there is disagreement about who showed the first interest at the wedding (hint: it was Amy), afterward I decided that this girl definitely was worth pursuing further. I recall raving about Amy to my friends Adam and Olivia after our third date. I was clearly enamored in ways unseen before as Adam calmly, trying to keep my expectations in check, responded "just give it time...she can't be THAT perfect". I know I'm not perfect, but have continued to discover how Amy and I are perfect for each other!
Since then, we've gotten to explore our home of San Francisco together, travel around the country, survive through umpteenth phases of a global pandemic, and ultimately create countless cherished memories together. We are so excited for the many more adventures to come!
