HOTEL AND TRAVEL INFORMATION
Hilton Playa Del Carmen
Our wedding weekend will take place at the Hilton Playa Del Carmen. The Hilton Playa del Carmen welcomes guests to all-inclusive luxuries exclusively for adults. Just steps from Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue, this AAA Four-Diamond resort boasts lavish all-suite accommodations, all with private balconies or terraces and hot tubs, plus special options such as swim-up suites and beachfront walkouts. Beach butlers and romance concierges provide heartfelt service as you enjoy the exquisite cuisine of seven gourmet restaurants or sip a cocktail at one of the many lounges, such as the swim-up bar or Tequileria.
Discounted room rates have been graciously provided by the resort for the wedding guests. More detailed information on the wedding group rate can be found under the "Group Travel" section on this page. We also recommend shopping around on Hilton.com (recommended for Hilton Honors members) and travel websites such as Expedia or Hotels.com.
Guests are also welcome to stay at an alternate resort. However, a $160 Hilton day pass will be required to attend the wedding events. Please let us know if you will require a resort pass for wedding events so we can put you in touch with our wedding coordinator.
Discounted Room Rates and Booking Services.
The Group Reservations Department at the Hilton Playa del Carmen has provided discounted room rates for the occasion.
To make reservations using the wedding discount, please book directly through Antonio del Cueto at antonio.delcueto@hilton.com.

GALLARDO-SUTER RESERVATION FORM
The following form will be required for the booking process.
Hilton Credit Card Authorization Form
Cancun International Airport - CUN
Guests will want to book their flights to and from Cancun International Airport (CUN). The airport is approximately an hour drive from Playa Del Carmen. Please see the Transportation section below for information on shuttles to and from the airport.
Guests traveling from El Paso may want to check flight prices from Ciudad Juárez International Airport (CJS). Flights from CJS to CUN are currently significantly cheaper than flights leaving from El Paso.
The Cozumel airport may be used as an option for traveling to Playa del Carmen for those guests willing to stretch their sea legs and go on an adventure. From the Cozumel airport, one would need to take a cab to the public ferry and then take the hour ferry ride to Playa del Carmen. The ferry arrives at the pier next to the Hilton Playa Del Carmen.
Transportation from Cancun Airport to Hilton Playa Del Carmen
It is about an hour drive from the Cancun Airport to Playa Del Carmen. We highly recommend using Lomas Travel's shuttle service for transportation to and from the airport. They provide a round trip shared shuttle rate at 49$ per person or a round trip private shuttle service at a rate of $186 accommodating a maximum of 7 passengers. Use the "Tranfers" tab in the Lomas Travel website linked below to book your shuttle.
How to apply for a passport
A passport is required to travel to Mexico. If you have a current passport, be sure to check the expiration date and make sure it does not expire within 6 months of your travel dates. If you do not have a passport, the link below will take you to a site that explains how to get a passport in 5 easy steps.
Helpful tips from our previous visits to the resort
Resort Tips
-The majority of staff at the Hilton Playa Del Carmen are fluent in both English and Spanish.
-The resort accepts both USD and Pesos. The front desk will exchange currencies at the current exchange rate without any additional fees. We do not recommend exchanging money at the airport as they will add additional fees and use poor exchange rates.
-Bring small bills for tips. $1 US dollar is ballpark equivalent to 20 pesos.
-The lounge chairs at the pool fill up quickly! Place towels, flip flops, or a book on a chair to claim your spot in the morning.
-Daily resort activities are listed on the first channel of your room TV.
-Ladies, the reception will be on grass. I'd recommend a wedge or a flat shoe!
-Don't forget to bring plenty of SUNSCREEN. Sunscreen is pricey in the resort and downtown area. A bottle can cost up to $30.
-If you plan on swimming in the ocean please use reef-safe sunscreen. The chemicals in many sunscreens are harmful to corals and have a lasting effect on the ecosystem. Reef-safe sunscreen will be required on the catamaran.
-Each room in the resort has a safe to keep passports and valuables.
Travel Tips
-If this is your first time traveling to Mexico please research online and bring appropriate travel documents to enter and exit the country. You will be provided with a customs form in flight and you will need to fill out both the top and the bottom of the form. If you do not receive this form in flight, you will fill it out upon arrival prior to clearing customs. The customs officer will tear the bottom portion off and return it to you. You must keep that portion to leave Mexico. Failure to do so will result in a fine and complications leaving the country. This may not apply to guests flying from Ciudad Juárez International Airport.
-Have an ink pen, your passport, and the resort address accessible during your flight to fill out your customs form.
-If you are using a shuttle service to travel to and from the hotel, they will require your flight information to make the reservation. The shuttle company will monitor your flight information and adjust your transportation accordingly if you are delayed.
-Once you get your bags and exit customs at Cancun Airport, you will walk down a long corridor before you reach the outside patio where the shuttle companies will be waiting. Avoid eye contact with the sales people in the corridor and don't take the pamphlets and maps! All of the maps and information on the excursions and timeshares is available at the hotel. Head outside, grab a cold beer, find your shuttle company, and let the wedding weekend begin!

Covid-19 International Travel Information
As we know, this past year has not been what we expected. When planning this wedding last year, we never anticipated we would still live in this COVID world. We have made the difficult decision to move forward with our wedding at a reduced guest capacity.
We understand the worries and concerns about attending a wedding internationally during this time. We hope to see all of you there, but we also understand everyone needs to do what is best for you and your families.
RESORT SAFETY INFORMATION
1. The Wedding Ceremony and Reception will both be entirely outdoors. There will be plenty of room to stay safely distanced, whatever your comfort level.
2. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer around the resort, and the staff will be wearing masks and face shields at all times.
3. Masks are required by the resort while inside the hotel, bars, and restaurants. We ask that all our wedding guests respectfully comply with resort mask guidelines.
4. The US State Department currently requires proof of a negative covid-19 test taken at least 72 hours before boarding your return flight to the United States. Don't worry! The resort will administer the covid test, help you schedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your return flight, and promptly send you the results. The test is free and conveniently conducted at the resort.
It's been a crazy year, so let’s toast to our antibodies and have a safe, fun, and healthy weekend!
