Group Tour

Guests arriving early can join us on an all-day tour to Santiago Matatlan (basically Oaxaca's Napa Valley for mezcal) and Teotitlan del Valle. We'll learn about the mezcal distilling process at family-owned palenques (and sample the goods, of course), plus see traditional weaving and natural wool dyeing. The cost is $25 per person (not including lunch).

Or you can choose to explore on your own—there's a lot to see! Read more about Oaxaca here and here

Places of note are the petrified waterfalls of Hierve el Agua, the artisan villages of San Martin Tilcajete and San Bartolo Coyotepec, Monte Alban, Oaxaca's most important archeological site, and Mitla, Oaxaca's most important Zapotec cultural site.

Agavero Cocina & Bebidas

Agavero is located on the top level of a small plaza called Casa de Barro

PLEASE NOTE Agavero has recently relocated and Google maps may direct you to the old location. Reforma 703 is the correct address. If you are having trouble, you can also map "Casa de Barro Oaxaca" for accurate directions.

What to Wear

Fiesta Chic

Have fun! We're in Mexico, the more color and patterns the better.

Festive cocktail chic attire

Ceremony

Jardin Los Lavaderos, Quinta Real Oaxaca

Enter via the reception area of the Quinta Real hotel. Signs will direct you to the ceremony site. Please arrive before 3pm.

What to Wear

Dress Code: Creative Black Tie-Optional

AKA "festive wedding attire" or "formal." Colors & patterns encouraged—dress to impress.

We advise against stilettos—we will be walking on grass and Oaxaca's cobblestone streets.

Need more guidance?

Men: A tuxedo, or dark dinner jacket and tuxedo pants, or a formal suit in any dark color and white dress shirt; bow tie or neck tie; fun pocket square and socks.

Rent your look using the Black Tux here

Women: Have fun—Floor length gowns with a statement print, bold color, or cut-out are great. Or go with a more formal, knee-length-or-longer cocktail dress.

Rent the Runway is an excellent resource for beautiful gowns that you don't have to buy. They offer a one-month trial for their Unlimited service for $99, which lets you rent 4 pieces of clothing at a time for a month. My go-to for formal events! Check out Rent the Runway here.

Calenda

We'll parade our way through downtown Oaxaca, making our way to the buses that will drive to the reception site.

Reception

Ex-hacienda Guadalupe, Tlacochahuaya

Dinner & dancing under the stars.

Shuttle buses will return to downtown Oaxaca at scheduled times throughout the night. Taxis will also be available, should you need to depart earlier than scheduled times.

Childcare may be available—please get in touch if you are interested in this option.

Sunday Funday

Cure your hangover

One final celebration. Stop by for a drink on the terrace of Sur a Norte restaurant, directly across from Santo Domingo.
