Storm King Arts Center
1 Museum Rd New Windsor, NY 12553 United States
Some of the best large-scale modern and contemporary sculptures live at Storm King and there is no better time to visit than late summer/early fall. Even if you're not an art nerd, the grounds are beautiful and so fun to hike around.
Dia: Beacon
3 Beekman St, Beacon, NY 12508, USA
DIA Beacon has a rotating art collection including Dan Flavin, Joseph Beuys, Sol LeWit, Louise Bourgeois, Carl Andre, not to mention an incredible bookstore. The town of Beacon is adorable with restaurants, wine bars, galleries and shops. It's a little further away from the venue than Storm King; but all indoor and worth a visit for the Richard Serra room alone. We had one of our first dates here.
Cold Spring, NY, USA
Our favorite of the Hudson River towns with antique shops, boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants. There are also great hiking trails around the town that are Hank approved.
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets
498 Red Apple Ct, Central Valley, NY 10917, USA
They've got it all at Woodbury Common. Lines of people wait to get inside the fancy purse shops like Prada and Gucci, always steals to be had at Nordstrom and Banana Republic. There is also an unusual amount of people who bring dogs to an outdoor shopping mall.
