Welcome

Laissez les bons temps rouler — let the good times roll!

We’re getting married in a city that knows how to celebrate — New Orleans — where every corner has a little magic, every meal is a memory, and every gathering feels like grace in motion. This site has everything you need to join in:

The when, the where, the what to wear. Hotel recs, travel tips, local spots we love, and a full weekend itinerary — from sacred vows in a beautiful church to melodies, cocktails, and dancing under the stars.

Our hope is that this weekend feels like a reflection of what we believe — in joy, in love, in family, in faith — and that you leave with full hearts (and maybe powdered sugar on your shirt).

Take a look around, get excited, and know how much it means to us to celebrate this next chapter with you by our side. We can’t wait to see you.

Let’s make some memories.
– Alison & Chris

The wedding will begin on Friday, October 10th promptly at 3:00pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church. St. Mary's is located in the Old Ursuline Convent Museum - the oldest building in the Mississippi River valley and was completed in 1752.

A dinner & reception party immediately to follow at The Misi. The reception is within walking distance -- no need to worry about transportation from the church to the reception since we will "SECOND LINE" to the celebration from the church.

*We recommend you walk from the hotel if you're staying close by or Uber to the church for the ceremony.

Dress code: Cocktail attire - dress to impress, but no need for tuxes or gowns! Comfy shoes recommended for the second-line from the church to the reception venue - the most fun 10-minute walk you'll have...promise!

Key People
Bridesmaids
Lauren Hilton
Lauren Hilton
Matron of Honor & Sister
I know not everyone is lucky enough to have a sister, but I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot -not only having a sister close in age, but having the best sister. Lauren is a superwoman with MANY talents but is also one of the most humble people you will meet. She is the best mom to Conway, Potter, Estes and Glory (my amazing nephews and niece) and she and Cooper (my BIL) have shown me up close what an amazing marriage looks like.
Tracy Nadler
Tracy Nadler
How does one describe your friendship with your oldest friend? Tracy and I met in middle school and became fast and best friends. We have seen each other through all phases of life, both joyful, and of course, the harder ones. I could write a novel about all the adventures and antics Tracy and I got into, especially in our younger years, but I’ll have her save those for sharing at the wedding ;) She is one of the most FUN, energetic people I know and is like a sister to me!
Lexi Brantmeier
Lexi Brantmeier
I met Lexi through Kristen in my early Watermark days and I still laugh that I invited myself to her 30th birthday party even though I think I had only met her once before then. We’ve had so many memories over the years - many of the best ones on the lake on her and Paul’s Third Day boat! She’s a gem of a human and I’m thankful to call her friend!
Taylor Busboom
Taylor Busboom
Taylor and I met in graduate school in 2004 and she is one of my favorite people in life. She’s a huge part of me coming back to church in my 20s and she makes me want to be more like Jesus and know Him more because she pursues him so fiercely. We have the best time since we have also been neighbors now for several years, so I’m always hanging out at her house with her awesome family and bringing Chris now too! Fun fact - Taylor’s anniversary and Alison’s birthday both fall on July 29th.
Kristen Fraser
Kristen Fraser
Kristen and I met in Watermark Bible study 15?! years ago and instantly became close friends. She asks the best questions of anyone you’ll ever meet and truly cares deeply about her friends and people. She has prayed for my husband for many years and it’s great to have her be a part of this special season and it come full circle.
Emily Schulhoff
Emily Schulhoff
Emily - my “seasons of life” twin - is one of the most special people I know! She is brilliant, generous, funny, and can recap any situation or memory in the most hilarious and accurate way. We’ve been in community for over 10 years now and have had way too many memories to count (especially many fun travel memories!).
Johnna Sheppard
Johnna Sheppard
Johnna and I met as we were going on a mission trip to Haiti a decade ago. Johnna is one of the most discerning and genuine people you’ll ever meet and is a woman of faith and prayer. She is truly one of those friends who you just know is genuinely happy for and celebrating you. She’s seen so much of my journey over the past several years and I’m grateful to have her be a part of the wedding.

FAQs

Q: Are kids invited?

A: We love your little ones! Our wedding and reception will be an adults-only celebration with the exception of our nieces and nephews, so we appreciate your understanding as we plan a relaxed and intimate weekend.

Q: When should I plan to arrive in New Orleans?

A: Our wedding ceremony will take place on Friday at 3 PM. We’d love for you to join us for a casual Welcome Meet & Greet on Wednesday evening from 4:30-6:30pm if you want to get to town early and make the most of your time in New Orleans!

Q: When should I RSVP by?

A: Invitations were mailed in July and include the online RSVP deadline of 9/1.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: Our wedding will be dressy - think cocktail attire—suits or sport coats, dresses.

Q: How do we get from the ceremony to the reception?

A: In true New Orleans fashion, we’ll be second lining from the church to the reception with a live brass band leading the way—it’s one of NOLAs favorite traditions and we can’t wait to share it with you. It’s a short walk (10min). For guests who may need assistance, we’ll have a few pedicabs available to offer a ride to the venue.

Q: What about parking?

A: Because both our ceremony (St. Mary’s Church at the Old Ursuline Convent) and reception (The MISI) are located in the French Quarter with limited parking nearby, we strongly recommend using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to the church ceremony. It’s the easiest way to get around—and lets you enjoy the night without worrying about parking. If you do plan to drive, there are paid lots nearby. Plus, we’ll all be walking together from the ceremony to the reception!

Travel Info

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is the closest major airport. American Airlines and Southwest have many flights. Approx. 20–30 minutes from downtown by car or rideshare.

*Don’t forget you’ll need a Real ID to travel anytime after May!

Transportation Tips:

• Uber/Lyft readily available

• No car rental needed if staying downtown/French Quarter (and willing to get some steps in!)

• Parking at venues/hotels (if applicable)
