The story began where most modern day relationships begin… swiping right, Tinder!
It started with simple texts and soon evolved to deeper convos about their love for sports, family, music and dumb humor. A perfect match!
HOWEVER…
Alma lived in the Valley and Ali lived in the South Bay. In L.A. terms that's a long distance relationship. That’s 28 miles, oh no!
It took a few weeks before they could meet in person, Nov. 22, 2014 to be exact. That day Ali was going to a UCSB basketball game, passing through the Valley. He thought, why not try to meet up with the girl he liked chatting with so much. She agreed, they met and immediately hit it off. After this, the distance between the Valley and the South Bay was no longer an issue. Love wins!
These two notorious 'situationship' types soon realized they were in it for the long haul.
8 years later, inclusive of 3 years of long distance dating and collectively living in 4 different states … (they have really enjoyed taking it slow) … they are finally getting to the big day!
