Our paths crossed fortuitously one day in the concrete jungle of New York City, inside an office building in the Flatiron District.  Lia was an MBA student at Columbia and Alex, the same at NYU Stern. So close… yet far enough. The 7.8 miles separating the two schools was far enough to keep us from bumping into each other until that momentous day.

As Alex walked into the lobby of Credit Suisse after failing his final round interview, Lia was anxiously waiting to go into hers. She eagerly approached him to try to get the interview questions he was asked, but Alex was too distraught to engage with her. He left shortly, and that could have been the end of our encounter. Still, she thought "cute" as he walked out of the lobby, and he couldn't stop thinking about her once his nerves calmed down.

Fast forward to the week after. When Alex and Lia were each separately chatting with a mutual friend/mentor about the recruiting process and the summer internships secured, our friend came up with a brilliant idea of connecting us two (thank you, Seth!). Once connected, Alex gathered the courage to ask Lia out on a date, and the rest is now history.

We found ourselves inseparable once the relationship bloomed, spending our time traveling the world together and learning to become best friends. We met during a pivotal time in our lives and have had the opportunity to build a foundation for the life we collectively value. We love playing golf, traveling the world, critiquing food, spending time with family, and binge watching Netflix together - we can't wait to see what's in store for us as we build our family together and embark on future adventures.

We are so excited to have you be a part of our wedding day, and we look forward to a celebration to be remembered for a lifetime!
