How Alex and Urmi Met
Alex and Urmi’s story began when two people, each searching for love, found each other at the perfect time. Alex lived in the South, and Urmi was all the way on the West Coast. Though miles apart, they quickly realized that there was something special between them. They decided to take a leap of faith and meet halfway, choosing Dallas, Texas, as the place to bring their connection to life.
Both were young and uncertain about what the future held, but they were willing to take a chance on each other. As soon as they landed in Dallas, they were both nervous, unsure of what to expect. But the moment they sat together in the cab heading to their hotel, something magical happened. The nerves melted away, and they ended up having an adventure right there in the city. They spontaneously decided to grab tacos, a perfect choice given their shared love for Mexican food.
It was never hard for Alex and Urmi to talk. They spent hours chatting at that taco shop, just like they had done during their very first FaceTime call. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and it felt like they had known each other for years. That weekend, they grew even closer, and it didn’t feel like they were meeting in person for the first time—it felt like they’d always been a part of each other's lives.
After that trip, they made traveling to random cities a way to get to know each other better. As time went on, the trips became a monthly tradition, and it felt like they couldn’t live without seeing each other.
Eventually, they both knew it was time to stop torturing their hearts with the distance. They realized it was time to close the miles between them and let their hearts come together. And now, here they are—excited for the future and cheering to finally have closed the gap!
