This love story begins in Charlotte, NC in 2017 when Alessandra and Chris met during a night out with friends, bonding over being the tallest people in the bar. They began to run into each other all over the city and began texting daily. Knowing Chris was leaving Charlotte at the end of the baseball season, they didn’t think about their fast friendship turning into anything more. Baseball ended and they said goodbye; but as fate would have it they kept finding themselves in the same city and began talking more often. However, Alessandra soon moved to Seattle and Chris back to Florida so the prospect of any type of relationship became ever more complicated. After many great weekends’ together and difficult goodbyes, it became clear that love was in the air. Eventually, Chris took charge, confessed his feelings and bought Alessandra a ticket to meet him in Barcelona (as you do). They left Spain as novios and dated long distance until Alessandra moved to Florida in 2018.

Chris and Alessandra were going to Sonoma to celebrate Tom’s, Alessandra’s cousin, birthday which also happens to be Alessandra’s birthday, August 16th. As a Leo, it was very hard for Alessandra to have her birthday and not be the center of attention, so Chris sweetly said they would go early and celebrate her big day. With Alessandra unaware of the final destination or plan, they flew to San Francisco and hit the road. En route, Chris surprised Alessandra telling her they were headed to The Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, a hotel that has been on her bucket list! After checking in, they headed out to catch the incredible sunset before an early dinner. Wearing heels, Alessandra quickly realized this was quite the outdoorsy sunset walk so she turned to go back and put on tennis shoes. Chris insisted the cliff wasn’t rocky and there was no time to turn back. Oddly, there was only one other person out on the cliff and Chris decided to stand right in front of her. Alessandra was so confused between wearing heels on this “romantic” hike and this woman, when all of a sudden as they were watching the sunset over Big Sur, Chris popped the question! So surprised and happy, Alessandra couldn’t even remember Chris getting down on one knee. Thankfully, the random lady next to them was actually a photographer that Chris hired so there is proof that he did actually get down on one knee.
