El irresistible “encanto paisa” (los locales son llamados “Paisas”) está muy presente en la cotidianidad de su cultura, gastronomía y costumbres. Hay una actividad para todos en Medellín, desde ecoturismo hasta recorridos culturales y artísticos, caminatas por sitios históricos, deliciosos restaurantes y una increíble vida nocturna.

"No des Papaya" coloquialmente significa no bajar la guardia cuando se camina por las calles. Medellín, es muy seguro, pero eso no significa que debas bajar la guardia, como en cualquier otra ciudad.

Provenza is a neighbourhood in Medellin within the El Poblado area which captures the friendly, energetic and entrepreneurial spirit of Medellin and the wider Antioquia region. Via Provenza has been known for attracting tourists and locals alike for its extensive gastronomic variety, including cafes, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and well-known local-designer boutiques. Definitely worth visiting if this is your first time in the city!

La plaza Botero, ubicada en todo el corazón de Medellin; está rodeada de 23 impactantes esculturas de bronce que fueron donadas por el maestro colombiano Fernando Botero, nacido en Medellin. A un lado de la plaza, podras apreciar el Museo de Antioquia, que te llevará por un viaje en la historia de Medellín y la época precolombina.   Even if you have never heard of Fernando Botero, arguably the most famous Colombian artist, a stroll through Plaza Botero will almost certainly make you a fan. The plaza is home to nearly two dozen sculptures by Colombia’s best-loved sculptor, including voluptuous ladies, fat cats, portly Roman soldiers, and chubby men on even chunkier horses. After you've taken your pictures for the "gram", we recommend visiting the nearby Museum of Antioquia for an adventure to Medellin's History and the Pre-Colombian Era.

La Comuna 13, es un barrio colorido en forma vertical por situarse en la ladera de las montañas. Es uno de los lugares más visitados de la ciudad por la transformación social que ha vivido en los últimos años. Pasó de ser uno de los lugares más peligrosos del mundo, a una especie de museo al aire libre que intenta contar qué era la Comuna 13 antes y como se ha convertido en lo que es ahora. Es un espacio seguro, que te enriquecerá el alma de historia, arte, y la calidez de su gente. El recorrido cuenta con tours guiados de 2-4 horas por residentes de la zona, donde relatan las historias de violencia que vivieron en la época de los 90 y el renacimiento de la comuna. ¡No te lo puedes perder!  

“La Comuna 13” is a fascinating hillside neighbourhood and an imperative stop during your visit in Medellin especially if you are looking to immerse yourself in the local culture. Once upon a time this neighbourhood was considered one of the most dangerous areas of the city (and even the world). Today it is a safe space that will enrich your heart with its history, art and the warmth of its people. The streets are filled with local artwork, street performers and food and drink stalls. We strongly recommend taking a guided tour (normally 2-4 hours) by residents, where they tell the stories of violence and resilience, they experienced in the 90's and how the community has undergone a complete transformation. You can't miss it!

Guatapé es un pueblo del oriente antioqueño, a 70 km de Medellín. Los lugares más visitados de esta zona son el Peñol de Guatapé y el lago de Guatapé, que abarca aproximadamente 2.262 hectáreas. Las coloridas fachadas y la hermosa plaza principal hacen que la visita a este pueblo sea una experiencia muy placentera.
El Peñol de Guatapé (un gran bloque de piedra), es considerado patrimonio cultural y un punto panorámico para los visitantes, ya que ofrece la mejor vista de la represa de Guatapé. Se puede llegar a la cima subiendo sus 649 pasos.
Guatape is considered one of the most beautiful and colorful towns in all of Colombia. Located just 70 km outside of Medellin, the picturesque “pueblo” of Guatape is famous for its breathtaking views of large rock formations, mountains and lakes. A lot of visitors check out El Peñon de Guatapé, which is a monolithic rock that stands 200 meters tall. You can hike to the top of the rock for an amazing view of the surrounding area and the beautiful, turquoise Guatape lake. In addition to its natural beauty, Guatape is also known for its vibrant culture and friendly locals. The town has several number of restaurants, bars, and cafes, and a variety of local handicrafts for sale.
