As from 1 July 2022, you no longer have to test or self-isolate to enjoy a Mauritius holiday.

The currency in Mauritius is the Mauritian rupee - MUR or Rs. You can exchange your currency upon arrival at the airport or at exchange bureaus which are common in tourist areas.
4) What will the weather be like this time of year?
August in Mauritius can be quite chilly and breezy (with temperatures ranging from 24°C during the day to 16°C at night).
5) What is the best way to get around the island?
We would recommend renting a car. If you're concerned about driving on the 'left' side, you can also hire a chauffeur!
