We first met at medical school at Rowan-SOM where for the majority of time we only saw each other as friends and then became best friends for 3 years before seeing each other as something more. However Ajay claims that he always liked me since he first saw me at orientation!
By the time medical school was ending, we realized we were there for each other countless times through the ups and downs of medical school and that we truly cared for each other on a deeper level. There was also the fact that Ajay was shy and in denial for a while! Our closest friends would egg us on many times throughout the years, but Ajay eventually told me how he felt and I told him I felt the same!
So our relationship started by the end of medical school. We knew the biggest test to our relationship would be surviving the first year of residency and finding time for each other. However thankfully making time for each other came naturally to us despite our hectic schedules. We continued to be the biggest support for one another and our love grew even stronger.
It didn't take us very long to figure out that this was IT, we had both found our other half! Ajay surprised me near the river with a ring, telling me that I was going to a party his residency was holding. I somewhat knew what was happening since he isn't very good at lying, but nevertheless I was surprised!
Never had a relationship felt so right and perfect for both of us. We are so excited to commit to each other for a lifetime!
