A stunning five-star hotel. More than 160 years since its 19th-century heyday, Hotel Europejski as Raffles Europejski Warsaw takes its place once again at the heart of Poland’s proud capital city.

Buying Your Airfare
High season for Poland runs between June – August. Keep in mind that it is cheaper to fly and buy tickets to Poland after Labor Day. The cost of flights tends to fluctuate so setting a price alert on some websites such as Kayak.com may be helpful.

Flying LOT Polish Airlines
If you're using miles, LOT is part of the STAR Alliance.

There is also a 50% chance LOT Polish Airlines will weigh your carry-on bag at check-in—be cognizant of how much it weighs!

Ground Transportation

Ubers, Bolt or iTaxi
Ubers are much cheaper in Poland than taxis, Bolt and iTaxi are further more! It is also easier to get somewhere when you don't speak Polish with a taxi app; just enter the destination in your app and off you go.

City Taxis
If you plan on taking a regular taxi, I recommend writing your hotel name and address on a piece of paper and give it to your taxi driver, just in case they don’t speak English. Like anywhere else, make sure the meter is ON. Taxis display their rates on their windows, the average cost is less than 3 Polish zloty per kilometer. Be aware that some taxis do not take credit card. If you plan on paying with credit card, always ask if they take it before entering the taxi (that way they don’t tell you the credit card machine is broken upon completion of your trip).

Staying in Old Town Square
If you are staying in an Airbnb located in Warsaw’s Old Town Square, be aware that vehicles, including taxis and Ubers, are not allowed within the Old Town Square.

TRIP PLANNING

OTHER DESTINATIONS

If you are looking to explore Europe before or after the wedding and have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! Some easy trips to tack onto your trip to Poland include the eurostar train to Prague or Berlin. A cheap flight to London, Paris, Budapest, and Germany, Austria etc..

We will mostly likely be going on a trip with friends right after the wedding so let us know if you want to come along!

SAFETY

Covid: As per the most recent travel guidelines issued by Poland on 3/28/22: All Covid travel restrictions to the Republic of Poland have been lifted, there is no longer any requirement to present any vaccines, tests or wear a mask.

Ukraine: We know that some of you may be concerned about traveling to Poland. As Agata’s extended family lives in Poland, we pay very close attention to the situation across its border, in Ukraine. Thankfully, Poland is a safe place to travel and Western governments have not posted any travel risk advisories related to the war in Ukraine. We will of course, share updates if anything changes.
