Meeting my beautiful wife was the greatest gift I have ever received from God. She is exactly who I have been praying for. She is proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy for the rest of my life.
I met my beautiful wife, "Omaricha'm" through a friend turned brother. I remember the conversation he and I had about marriage. He was (and still is) happily married with two kids (one on the way at the moment), while I was still single and looking for the right woman to settle down with before I turn the BIG 30! Of course I didn't want to rush the process of finding a special woman, after all "good things come to those who wait" right? I remember my friend asking me for my type of woman. I wanted a woman who fears God, a woman that will love me and everything around me but must love God more. He told me about his younger cousin and that he will hook me up with her. I saw her pictures and of course gave him the go ahead. The following week, he gave me her number and I called her sharp-sharp. The first day I called her, there was so much joy in my heart. She sounded so cute as she informed me that she's on her way home from bible study. I was happy to hear that because that was what I was looking for. Wow God is so amazing right? Unfortunately in the beginning she was "too busy" for a relationship and introduced me to many of her friends but I knew she was the one I wanted. We finally got to meet face-to-face at Flavour's concert. That day was like Christmas to me. Like Christmas, I was waiting on Flavour's concert not to see Flavor but to see this beautiful woman that has won my heart. When I entered the venue of the concert and laid eyes on this dark chocolate beautiful lady with a smile that can turn away sadness I knew she was the one. Through her shyness we talked, danced laughed. It was like we knew each otherr since birth. At that moment I told myself "King, it's time for you to get ready for your wedding". And guess what we're getting ready for now? God is wonderful right? My beautiful wife and I are getting ready for #OnCloudKing2018. I really thank God for His grace and divine favors. Omaricha'm, I love you so much and I thank you for loving me back. I can't wait to say 'I do' to you. God will continue to bless you for me.
Meeting Tata (Henry or Nwabueze) was nothing short of an act of God. That year I had gone through a hard breakup and just wanted to focus on school, my fitness, God and myself. And I did just that. I remember an aunty at church asking me if I'm praying for my husband. The look on my face gave her my response, no I have not been praying about that because I am focusing on myself. She then asked me, "What kind of husband do you want?" "A man who will love me as Christ loves the church". That's the response I gave her. She prayed for me that day and repeated my response in the prayer. I appreciated her gesture but marriage was not on my mind at the time. That same day I got home from bible study and my cousin visiting me talked about a friend of his who is tall, dark, handsome and looking for a wife. LOL!! Twice in one day! I told him to tell my younger sister because I am not interested. Eventually I agreed for my cousin to give his friend my number but it will only be for me to introduce him to my friends. Ironically, the first time Tata called me, I was on my way back from bible study. When he heard that, he jokingly said that he has his bible with him and I asked him to open the book of Josiah in the bible and to call me when he finds it. Guys, THERE IS NO BOOK OF JOSIAH IN THE BIBLE! LOL! Henry looked for that book for like an hour and a half. I felt bad so I had to call him back. We talked for like hours and that was just our first conversation! Still not ready for a relationship, I told him that t I was currently in a relationship but that I have many beautiful friends who are "single and ready to mingle". I introduced him to 20 of my girlfriends! He didn't even go out with one of them, some he didn't even call. Yet, he would call me everyday asking about a friend of mine and then from there the topic would switch to us and then we find ourselves falling asleep on the phone. Flavor had a concert that year and we agreed to meet there. When I saw him, I immediately had butterflies in my stomach. But I wasn't supposed to have butterflies, I'm supposed to focus on myself and school and God and whatever else I said earlier! We meet at the concert but it was like meeting with a long time BFF. It all was just too good to be true. Over time I realized that God sent me "a man that loves me as Christ loves the church". A month later we went to the movies and he got down on his knees and asked me to be his girlfriend. 1.5 years later he got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife! God is really awesome! Isaiah 55 "His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts." I love you Tata and on 07/07/2018 I will BOLDLY say "I DO". You are God's best for me.
My sister's birthday was approaching and Henry showed exceptional interest in doing something special for her. He concluded that he wanted to throw a party for her but little did I know that the party was also for me. As soon as he told me his plan, I started planning the party for my dear sis. Everyday leading to the birthday party, Henry for some reason frw more anxious. Everything had to be PERFECT! He kept questioning the amount of food abs drinks, how nice the location was, etc. He was driving me nuts! I kept telling him that it's just a birthday party and that my sister would still appreciate us with or without the party. Lol I remember the day before the party, he made me video call him and picked it what he wanted me to wear that day. The day of the party, one of my good friends, Cecilie Baxter (soon to be Mrs.Lofton) ambushed me to make sure she did my make up. I was so confused and trying to rush and make sure everything was in place at the party's location. Fast forward a few hours into the party everyone rushes outside of the party hall because there was a "black out"! While I was trying to understand how NEPA managed to come to Sugarland,TX and only cut the power of the main hall, my good friend Laide starts to play her saxophone and Henry approaches me with this huge smile on his face. Guys, I'm still totally confused! Is Laide trying to entertain the guests because of the power outage? Does Henry think this is funny? What is going on?!?! Henry proceeds to hand me a bouquet of roses and as soon as I'm about to question what he's doing, he gets down on one knee, answering my question by asking me a question. It was at that moment that all the questionable behaviors made sense!! Well played Tata, well done!
