Michael Nomura
Bestman
I met Mike in 2004 when we were freshman at Portland State. We quickly became friends spending most of our free time debating if 50 Cent or The Game is a better rapper and trying to hang with girls. Fast forward 15 years and we've got a lifetime of great stories. Mike has always supported me, and is one of the friendliest guys you'll meet.
Clayton Jackson
Groomsmen/Little Brother
The groomsmen I’ve known the longest! We’ve been through everything you’d expect brothers to go through, and a lot more. When I broke my leg at the Western Regionals Wrestling Championships, Clayton was there “willingly” to ensure my cast didn’t get wet while I bathed. I think Clayton is one of the funniest guys around (our sisters would strongly disagree), and I know I can count on him to have my back no matter what.
Greg Welch
Groomsmen
My first roommate (besides my siblings), Greg and I lived together for 7 years through college and after. Together we hosted an unprecedented three “Get Loose in The Goose” parties, summited Salkantay and rode the famous night train from Bangkok to Chiangmai. Greg has always been a voice of reason, and someone who's opinion I value a great deal.
Drew Barthel
Groomsmen
Drew and I met at Portland State. Drew was a freshman when I was a sophomore, but I slowed my learning down to graduate at the same time as him #victorylap. Drew has always been up for an adventure, and together we've shared a Turkis bath in Istanbul, drank Thai Buckets on the Island of Koh Phi Phi, and trekked 50 miles to summit Machu Picchu. If I were ever in a pinch, I know Drew would be there in a heartbeat to help me out.
Casey Kerwood
Groomsmen
Casey and I met at our first post college job with Sedgwick. While our friendship started by discussing the art of claims processing, we quickly realized we had a lot of the same interests. When Casey and his wife Vanessa bought their first home I moved in as a house warming roommate! We’ve shared a lot of memories together, and probably to many that involve a craps table! Casey is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, and someone I can always count on.
Jessica Terra
Maid of Honor
Our friendship spans more than a quarter century which qualifies her as family and best friend. No matter how much time goes by between our visits it feels like no time has passed, and when I’m with Jessica I know I will laugh until my sides hurt. Jessica is thoughtful, brave, funny, and kind. I am grateful to have jessica as a life long friend and look forward to having her by my side for this exciting life milestone and many more to come.
Melissa Spahr
Bridesmaid
I met Melissa our freshman year at Saint Mary’s college and since day one she’s been a friend and someone I look up to. She’s always up for adventure, and when I visit her there is never a dull moment. If you’re looking for your next book to read, she’s the friend to ask, and she knows the best places to hike. Melissa is eternally young at heart and her youthful spirit brings joy to everyone around her. I’m looking forward to sharing in each others upcoming weddings and future adventures.
Desiree Bobadilla
Bridesmaid
Desiree and I both went to Saint Mary’s College, and our friendship bloomed after graduation. When we lived in the same area we’d alternating weekly making dinner and bachelor viewing dates, and when she moved to San Jose we always found time to meet up for hikes, lunch, or beach days. She’s wise beyond her years and always offers thoughtful advice. Her personality is as bright as our photo together. Desiree has the kindest heart, and I am grateful to know such a wonderful person and momma!
Eve Laokwansathitaya
Bridesmaid
I met Eve at Saint Mary’s College and quickly knew I’d met a life long friend. Eve and her parents welcomed me into their lives when I was far away from home for college and made me feel like part of their family. She always sees the best in everyone around her and offers unconditional support and friendship. She’s my shopping buddy and is unwaveringly patient when I try things on multiple times. She’s always there through thick and thin, and I can’t wait to have her by my side during this next chapter of life.
Megan Holm
Bridesmaid
Megan and I bonded over our love of cupcakes while studying abroad in Australia. We searched all over Melbourne for a cupcake pan, and then made all our international roommates cupcakes. After graduating college we became roommates for many years and are now neighbors. Megan can talk you into “being fun” after an 18 mile run and is always up for a glass of wine or a walk with Otis (her pup) and baby Charolette. I admire how she moves through life with determination and grace.
Rae Nomura
Wedding Officiant
Willard and Rae have been very close friends for more than a decade. Rae is also the person who brought us together. She met Abby at a bachelorette party and suggested we talk at the upcoming wedding, where Abby was a bridesmaid and Willard a guest. Since Rae nudged us together, it only seems right that she marry us!
